Overview:

Thursday’s night game between Lincoln Lutheran and Archbishop Bergan was hyped up as both teams came in with a record of 2-0, and both teams are hoping to find themselves in Memorial Stadium come November. Archbishop Bergan seems to be the cream of the Class C2 crop with tons of playmakers at various positions, and among them is Wyoming Safety commit [player_tooltip player_id="147831" first="Koa" last="McIntyre"]. Koa is not only the Knights star safety but their Dual-Threat QB as well. Lately, the Knights MO has been scoring lots of points on offense and smother opposing offenses with their versatile defense. Lincoln Lutheran Warriors were looking to shut down this juggernaut offense with a solid front DL and many versatile skill players of their own. Lincoln Lutheran players QB [player_tooltip player_id="157850" first="Joshua" last="Duitsman"], WR [player_tooltip player_id="147990" first="Max" last="Bartels"], and WR Jonny Puelz found their groove early in the game and combined for some big plays and a touchdown. Bartels’ interception gave the Lutheran defense some momentum and showed they could hang. However, a momentum-stealing pick-six by [player_tooltip player_id="147831" first="Koa" last="McIntyre"] completely blew off the flood gates for Bergan. Once they got going, the Bergan offense was unstoppable. Koa scored a total of 6 touchdowns; he threw for four passing touchdowns (2 for [player_tooltip player_id="164890" first="Gavin" last="Logemann"] and 2 for [player_tooltip player_id="180279" first="Kade" last="McIntyre"]), a rushing touchdown, and the pick-six. In the end, the versatility and pressure provided by the Archbishop Bergan defense were too much for the Lincoln Lutheran offense to get comfortable and execute on drives. The offense was overwhelming with weapons and depth at the skills positions. Overall, a solid showing for the #1 team in Class C2 Archbishop Bergan; and a strong showing for Lincoln Lutheran, who kept fighting until the clock hit quadruple zeros.

He does a great job covering the field - he has excellent sideline to sideline speed and is very agile.

Provides excellent coverage as the single high safety and read the field very well. He can play in the slot and isn’t afraid to come up and bump a little in coverage.

Extremely talented receiver; physical, long, good route-runner, and tough to bring down.

I was very impressed with his abilities at DE. I had seen defensive highlights, but at the game, I saw him doing the little things that don’t show up on the stat sheet (6 tackles and a TFL). He disrupted in the backfield, closed off the edge on running plays, and consistently was in the quarterback’s face.

Jack is a very athletic big man that plays both sides of the ball with tons of intensity and heart.

On offense, he sets the tone at tackle and holds down the blindside spot. Good feet, great punch, drives his feet, overall polished.

On defense, he is relentless and does an excellent job playing through the whistle. He can shut down run plays to his side and can make his way into the backfield.

He started at LB, made some great stops, and did a good job coming up in run support.

He stepped in at QB and finished the game. He had some nice throws that resulted in catches and other balls with great placement, better play by the DB.

Inconsistency moving the ball, shaky OL play, and a ferocious Bergan defense kept Hoefs & Co. off-balance most of the game.

He plays aggressively, keeps his legs pumping, and is a touch person to tackle. 12 carries for 94 yards at a 7.8 yards a clip- he doesn’t make it easy on them.

He has excellent vision, cuts, and speed in the open field. He took a screen pass to the house.

He utilizes great tackling mechanics and has a nose for the ball carrier.

Read and react type player always makes the smart play—stout defender in a stacked LB room for Bergan.

Versatile on both sides of the ball and plays them both at a high level.

Listed at 6 foot 5, he looks the part too. He’s a long and rangy receiver that can high point the football and outjump DB/LB.

Mr. EFFICIENCY!! Logemann has five catches on the season for three touchdowns. Having so many playmakers on this offense limits the amount of targets players get, so he makes his catches count.

Had some big-time catches and had some great-looking routes and blocks.

I feel like he is just starting to show off his potential. He can play either side of the ball very well, with tons of room to continue growing and learning the position(s).

He has a mean streak and loves to hit people. The play that caught my eye was a Lincoln Lutheran "lateral" type play to end the first half, and Pruss came up and leveled the ball-carrier.

Great size and length for a receiver; could add a little more weight to his frame for LB in college.
