As the 2021 football season kicked off, the recruitment of 2022 and 2023 athletes in Oklahoma continued. It certainly slowed down compared to what we saw in the spring and summer, but for several athletes across the state, they’ve had big weeks in their recruitment since the start of the season. We break those offers and commitments down here. As always, you can follow us on Twitter @PrepRedzoneOK for all the latest in recruiting across Oklahoma.

Campbell Commits
One of the top available prospects in the state’s 2022 class is now off the board as a recent commit to Tulsa. Over the weekend, Holland Hall senior cornerback

tweeted out that he was committed to the Golden Hurricane. We wrote about Campbell’s decision in a previous Recruiting Report when he tweeted out about his September 4th commitment. In our mind, it was down to Kansas and Tulsa to land the Holland Hall star. Over the weekend, the Golden Hurricane were able to land Campbell’s commitment and now the battle for TU continues between now and signing day in December.
Campbell is rated as the 14th overall prospect in the state’s 2022 class and is ranked as the third best defensive back prospect, behind only Booker T Washington’s Gentry Williams Gentry Williams 6'0" | DB Booker T Washington | 2022 State OK and Union’s Jayden Rowe Jayden Rowe 6'2" | DB Union | 2022 State OK . Campbell is also the 25th prospect in the state’s 2022 class to give a verbal commitment to a D1 program. However, he’s only the second commit to Tulsa in the current class. Freeman’s Stock Rises
Speaking of Tulsa, the Golden Hurricane offered Heritage Hall senior standout
Gavin Freeman

in the last few weeks. Freeman is considered one of the best playmakers in Oklahoma but his recruitment hasn’t exactly reflected that. We’ve written plenty of articles talking about Freeman, the frustration behind his lack of recruitment and everything else so we don’t need to dive into that here. But the TU offer is hopefully the first of a snowball effect because he is without a doubt one of the best prospects in Oklahoma’s senior class and should be recruited as such.
Freeman is already off to a great start to his senior season. Between Heritage Hall’s two scrimmages and then a win over Millwood in week one, Freeman has touched the ball 15 times and scored touchdowns on 6 of those 15 touches. That’s not a bad ratio when you consider what that’s going to look like at the end of the season. It’s easy to say that he won’t be able to keep up with that pace but if you’ve seen Freeman play in person or even on film, you know what I know. It’s not that crazy to think he’ll be able to have a ratio similar to that by the end of the season. Tulsa offered him recently, they shouldn’t be the last.
Tease Continues Offer Momenntum
In the last few weeks, no prospect has been offered by more schools than Booker T Washington’s
Micah Tease

. While he’s being recruited by some of the top college programs in the country for his skillset at defensive back, he’s still a wide receiver on our site. And in the last few weeks, Tease has been offered by Arkansas, Cal, Memphis and Ole Miss. Those four add to a growing list that is going to feature just about every P5 school by the time it’s all said and done.
Tease is off to a great start to his junior season on both sides of the ball for Booker T Washington. On offense, he’s already showcased his playmaking ability. And on the defensive side, he’s one part of the best secondary in the state of Oklahoma today. The Hornet standout has had an excellent offseason and combining the start to his junior year will make things very busy over the next year or so when it comes to his recruitment.
