PrepRedzone’s Top Midwest Performers of the Week: 9/17/21

<em>PrepRedzone</em> is back at it again with another week of the Midwest's top individual performances, and once again we have some outrageous stat lines from the Dakotas down to Kansas and Missouri, over to Ohio, and everywhere in between. I've been very happy with the response this weekly series has been receiving across the site thus far, so I wanted to expand things and complete our Midwest coverage by finally adding in the states of Ohio and Missouri. Now, I know there is some debate on where Missouri counts in the whole Midwest/South debate, but I love our scout Nate Latsch down there and have been seeing some noteworthy production out of the Show-Me state and wanted to give the kids down there some love. The senior QB had a good game against <em>Fargo Davies </em>and threw for 4 TDs. In a 41-6 victory against <em>Ellendale/Edgeley/Kulm </em><strong>Vossler </strong>went 10-12 for 197 yards and 4 TDs. <strong>Blake Lunde </strong><em>(Towner-Granville-Upham, ND) </em>DE. 2022. In a shutout loss to <em>Bottineau </em>the 230 lber. recorded one catch for 44 yards, 6 tackles, 2 TFLs, and 2 sacks. <strong>Lincoln Kienholz </strong><em>(Riggs, SD) </em>QB. 2023. In a beatdown of <em>Douglas </em>the junior went 11-18 for 193 yards and 4 TDs. He's South Dakota's leading passer through 4-5 weeks of action. <strong>Sawyer Thompson </strong><em>(Lemmon/McIntosh, SD) </em>QB. 2024. Helped his squad defeat <em>Faith </em>56-0 and threw for 233 yards and 4 TDs off 11 completions. <strong>Parker Puetz </strong><em>(Sioux Valley, SD) </em>QB. 2022. In a 42-32 win vs. <em>McCook Central/Montrose </em>the 6'3, 210 lber. went 17-25 for 231 yards and 3 TDs. <strong>Taron Serr </strong><em>(Burke, SD) </em>FB/LB. 2022. The bruiser put up 15 carries for 214 yards and 3 TDs against <em>Avon High School. </em> <strong>Tyler Percy </strong><em>(Lead-Deadwood) </em>DE/TE. 2022. In a win at <em>Hill City </em>Mr. <strong>Percy </strong>had a stellar defensive performance with 7 tackles, 4 TFLs, and 2 sacks. <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Illinois</span></em></span> <strong>Joshua Franklin </strong><em>(Crete-Monee) </em>WR. 2023. In his Week 4 performance against <em>Thornwood </em>the 2023 grad went 16-22 passing for 6 TDs and added 2 rushing TDs on the ground for a total of 528 AP yards. <strong>Marco Maldonado </strong><em>(Loyola Academy) </em>RB. 2022.
