We kick off week four with a great matchup at War Memorial Stadium on Thursday night as Little Rock Parkview plays host to the Greenwood Bulldogs. Both teams have high expectations and plenty of talented players to make this a great matchup. Let’s take a look at both the Patriots and the Bulldogs before they kick the ball off tomorrow night.
The Greenwood Bulldogs suffered a bit of a bump in the road two weeks ago after losing to Fort Smith Northside. Every year it seems like the Bulldogs have a talented signal caller leading the Bulldogs and this year is no exception. Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="160308" first="Hunter" last="Houston"] is another Greenwood quarterback that directs the offense in impressive fashion. Houston has a way of always finding the open receiver. He is a quarterback that makes good decisions with the football. The Bulldogs have a number of wide receivers that Houston can target including [player_tooltip player_id="199093" first="Luke" last="Brewer"] and Aiden Kennon. Running back Dylan Tucker is not afraid to take the ball between the tackles and use the power game, however he does a good job of picking his rushing lanes well.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Greenwood Bulldogs are a team looking to get the opposing offense off the field. Parkview has several weapons on the offensive side of the ball that can change the outcome of the game with just one play. The Greenwood defense must account for quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="117318" first="Jaylon" last="White"], wide receivers [player_tooltip player_id="75132" first="Willie" last="Eackles"] and [player_tooltip player_id="75099" first="Parker" last="Perry"], and running back [player_tooltip player_id="75070" first="James" last="Jointer"]. Look for the Greenwood Tyler Crossno and Colt Owenby to have a busy night on the defensive side of the ball. Greenwood must force stops to win this game on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the Parkview Patriots may be the hottest team in the state of Arkansas. [player_tooltip player_id="117318" first="Jaylon" last="White"], [player_tooltip player_id="75132" first="Willie" last="Eackles"], [player_tooltip player_id="75099" first="Parker" last="Perry"], and [player_tooltip player_id="75070" first="James" last="Jointer"] is enough to cause opposing defensive coordinators plenty of headaches. Perry is a nightmare to cover in the red zone. Eackles and Jointer are both extremely explosive that can take it the distance from anywhere on the field. Look for plenty of big plays to come out of this offense on Thursday.
On the defensive side of the ball for the Patriots. Parkview will be depending on [player_tooltip player_id="117318" first="Jaylon" last="White"] to make plays in the secondary to contain the Greenwood passing attack. Keeping tabs on Greenwood wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id="199093" first="Luke" last="Brewer"] will be an emphasis for the Patriots. Defensive tackle Jaydon Brooks will be task with attempting to shut down the Greenwood rushing attack. Both defenses will have explosive offenses to contain. This has the potential to be one of the best matchups of the season. Can Parkview keep momentum rolling or will the Bulldogs snatch a win from the Patriots?
