Prep RedZone Arkansas Matchup Preview Farmington Vs Springdale

Over the past two weeks, the Farmington Cardinals have been on an impressive roll. Victories over Rogers Heritage and Prairie Grove have been extremely impressive. Meanwhile, the Springdale Bulldogs are looking to right the ship in front of the home crowd on Friday night. We are going to take a brief look at both Farmington and Springdale and give you a few key players to keep an eye on this Friday night. Looking first, at the visiting Farmington Cardinals. Farmington has proven over the past two weeks that they have the offensive firepower to contend with anyone. The Farmington offense has been extremely impressive over the past few weeks. Running back [player_tooltip player_id="123848" first="Caden" last="Elsik"] has played well over the past two weeks and has helped set the tone for the offense. Against the Prairie Grove Tigers, Elsik rushed for 148 yards off of 27 carries. The Cardinals were not just dangerous with the ground attack. Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="157343" first="Cameron" last="Vanzant"] has done a great job of mixing the rushing game with the passing game. Vanzant went 15 of 23 for 145 yards last Friday night and he is off to a terrific start, early in the high school football season. [player_tooltip player_id="173901" first="Devonte" last="Donovan"] gives the Cardinals a reliable wide receiving target that can stretch the field for the Cardinals. Meanwhile, the Springdale Bulldogs are looking to build some momentum for the upcoming conference season. Springdale quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="75094" first="Landon" last="Phipps"] is going to be counted on to get both the ground and the passing game going. Phipps was impressive a few weeks ago against the Van Buren Pointers. He rushed for 205 yards and two touchdowns and passed for 106 yards against the Pointers. Springdale will have the opportunity to stretch the field with [player_tooltip player_id="140726" first="Ta’Jon" last="Sparks"] and Davon Sparks have the speed to cause some problems for the Farmington defense. Both teams will have a lot to prove this Friday night. Springdale is looking to get off the snide and Farmington is looking to continue the hot start.
