OREGON OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: [player_tooltip player_id="110180" first="Mark" last="Hamper"] 23’ WR/S West Linn- Hamper has played as well as anyone in Oregon through the first two weeks, adding another 150+ yards receiving with 3 more TDs, and another INT. His back to back standout performances have put everyone on notice. [player_tooltip player_id="28902" first="Dom" last="Montiel"] 22’ QB Marshfield- The Oregon 4A POY favorite threw for another 422 yards and 5 Td’s, in the teams impressive 57-6 win over #9 ranked 5A Churchill in Eugene. In the first two weeks he has now accounted for 10 TD’s and 752 yards in the air. [player_tooltip player_id="28875" first="Hiro" last="Diamond"] 22’ QB Liberty- Maybe the breakout player of the year thus far, throwing 4 TDs for the 2nd week in a row, and running for another 3. He has accounted for 13 TDs in the first two weeks with the Falcons dominating the competition by a score of 108-0 (Lincoln, Aloha). [player_tooltip player_id="147861" first="Luke" last="Leighton"] 23’ WR/LB Sheldon- One of the fastest rising prospects in the state of Oregon. Over the last two weeks he has caught 14 passes for 258 yards and 3 TDs. With QB Thomas on fire look for the 6-4 Leighton’s stock to continue to rise. [player_tooltip player_id="110209" first="Jordan" last="Fisher"] 23’ RB Westview- One of Oregon’s breakout players of the year thus far. Fisher carried 19 times for 156 yards and 2 TDs, in the 49-16 pasting over a decent Mountainside team, who has started the season slow. [player_tooltip player_id="110187" first="Brock" last="Thomas"] 23’ QB Sheldon- The SWC POY favorite had another unreal week statistically, accounting for 395 total yards and 5 TDs (275 passing, 120 rushing), in the teams 44-27 win over Grant. Thomas separtes himself with his ability to run as he is a legit 1000+ yard projected rusher. [player_tooltip player_id="108144" first="Caleb" last="Kim"] 22’ ATH Sunset- For the second year in a row Kim continues to show he is a viable Metro League and 6A POY candidate. His 161 all-purpose yards and 4 TD’s (6 rec-121 yards and 2tds) all came by 8:24 in the 2nd quarter, with the Apollos putting on the breaks early, in the 45-7 win over Southridge. [player_tooltip player_id="28887" first="Jack" last="Layne"] 22’ QB Lake Oswego- Maybe the most impressive offensive player in the state over the first two weeks. Layne has displayed pinpoint accuracy, going 18-21 for 311 yards and more 4 TDs, and handling a good Bowmen program with ease. Braydon Thornton 22’ WR Siuslaw- One of the top small school athletes in the state of Oregon, had another monster week catching 7 passes for 210 yards and 3 TD’s. He also had an INT, in the teams 48-13 win over North Valley. [player_tooltip player_id="28882" first="Gabe" last="Olvera"] 22’ RB Lake Oswego- Hands down one of the most exciting players in the state. Dating back to the Spring he continues to put up almost 200 all purpose every week, doing that again with 6 receptions for 110 yards and 2 TDs, along with 10 carries for 94. The kid can play. [player_tooltip player_id="28843" first="Malik" last="Ross"] 22’ ATH Tualatin- For the 2nd week in a row Ross went for over 200 all purpose, had a kick return (96) and went for multiple TDs. His play thus far has put him in the POY conversation. [player_tooltip player_id="28868" first="Kyron" last="Albright"] 22’ ATH Beaverton- This kid shows up every week and produces. For the second game in a row Albright took another kick back 88 yards to the house, and also recorded a 38 yard TD reception, in the 41-18 win over Aloha. [player_tooltip player_id="28845" first="Royce" last="Fasel"] 22’ QB/LB Glencoe- The future D1 athlete at some position continued his dominance against Hillsboro, rushing 20 times for 212 yards and 3 TD’s, in the teams 35-0 win. In the last two weeks he has avareaged 10 yards per carry, rushing 49 times for 485 yards. [player_tooltip player_id="28849" first="Jae’Sean" last="Pete"] 22’ RB Grant- Pete broke out against the Irish of Eugene, rushing 24 times for 273 yards and 3 TD’s, in the teams 44-27 loss to Sheldon. Jae’Sean was impressive as a Sophomore and looked the part on Friday. Cayden Eckel 24’ RB Roseburg- Remember the name as Coach Dave Heuberger has the Indians back playing some good football. The Sophomore rushed for 122 yards and 4 TDs, all in the first half, in the 37-7 win at Mountain View. RHS has won 3 in a row dating back to last year after losing 10 straight. [player_tooltip player_id="144438" first="DJ" last="Daugherty"] 22’ ATH Marshfield- One of the top two-way threats in Oregon went off again, catching 7 passes for 200 + Yds and 3 TDs, in the teams lopsided win over a ranked 5A team in Churchill. [player_tooltip player_id="108143" first="Imarion" last="Kelly"] 22’ QB Roosevelt- One of the most versatile athletes state wide dropped the hammer on La Salle last Friday, passing for 119 yards and 6 TDs, all in the 1st half during the teams 59-0 win. [player_tooltip player_id="108151" first="Chase" last="Harmon"] 22’ QB West Linn- Give credit to Harmon, stepping into the starting quarterback role and producing right away. His 350 Yards passing and 5 Td’s helped the Lions handle North Medford with ease 49-7.
