Fenton vs East Lansing featured several talented players on the offensive side of the football. These offensive standouts contributed key plays for their teams Friday night.
Brevin Jackson QB | East Lansing | 2022
Jackson is a talented quarterback, to say the least. I like how he is not afraid to take shots downfield. Brevin Jackson got off to a great start with a 13- yard touchdown to receiver [player_tooltip player_id="99344" first="Mason" last="Woods"]. Jackson connected with Woods for a second touchdown right before the half.
[player_tooltip player_id="99344" first="Mason" last="Woods"] WR | East Lansing | 2022
I was really impressed with [player_tooltip player_id="99344" first="Mason" last="Woods"]’s performance in this football game. Woods is a tremendous competitor at the wide receiver position. He has a great feel for the game and does a great job using his speed and athleticism to get open. Woods not only came up with big catches but also had a huge punt return to Fenton’s 9-yard line to set up an East Lansing touchdown.
Jake Nichols RB | Fenton | 2024
I was impressed with Fenton’s running game. Nichols had some good runs during the game. Nichols scored a rushing touchdown for Fenton with 5:55 left in the first half. Fenton should continue to give the ball to Nichols the rest of the year to keep the ground game rolling.
[player_tooltip player_id="80529" first="Asher" last="Gregory"] RB | East Lansing | 2022
Gregory is a physical running back. I love how he hits the whole and looks to accelerate and pick up as many yards as possible. East Lansing has had a great passing attack the last few games but Gregory has helped keep East Lansing stay balanced. Gregory also has a great change of direction, making at least one defender miss on almost every play.
Cameron Dean RB | Fenton | 2024
Dean runs the ball hard for Fenton. Dean does not seem phased by contact and easily can break tackles with his size and strength. Dean broke an impressive 20 plus yard run where he ran through several tacklers. Fenton should look to make Dean and several of the key rushers their identity for future rushing success this season.
