It was another fun Friday night of high school football in the Show-Me State and there were some big-time games on the schedule and some big performances under those Friday night lights.

Here is a quick look at some of the top performances in the St. Louis area on Friday:
<strong>QB [player_tooltip player_id="37531" first="Brian" last="Brown"], 6-1, 180, Luthera</strong><strong>n North, Class of 2022</strong>
Lutheran North traveled to Kansas to face St. Thomas Aquinas and the Crusaders came up short in a 53-39 loss. Brown, who is committed to Southern Illinois, shined in the defeat. He completed 15 of 23 passes for a career-high 401 yards, with three touchdowns and one interception, and ran for 109 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.
<strong>QB [player_tooltip player_id="200063" first="Wade" last="Ellison"], 5-10, 190, Winfield, Class of 2022</strong>
Ellison had a big day in Winfield’s blowout 63-19 win at Wright City. He completed 17 of 28 passes for 215 yards, with four touchdowns and two interceptions, and also ran for 61 yards on 13 carries.
<strong>RB-DB [player_tooltip player_id="96764" first="Jay" last="Harris"], 6-2, 200, Timberland, Class of 2022 (<a href="http://www.hudl.com/v/2Fmycq">HUDL highlights</a>)</strong>
Timberland defeated Fort Zumwalt North 41-40 when the Wolves defense stopped a 2-point conversion attempt with 48 seconds remaining. Harris did everything he could to help his Timberland squad get the big win. He carried 14 times for 190 yards and five touchdowns, added two receptions for 30 yards and recorded nine tackles on defense.
<strong>QB [player_tooltip player_id="196494" first="Liam" last="Hughes"], 6-4, 185, Union, Class of 2023</strong>
Hughes continues to put up big numbers and lead the Wildcats to wins. In a 41-6 victory at Sullivan on Friday, Hughes completed 26 of 40 passes for a season-high 298 yards and five touchdowns. Through three games, Union is 3-0 and Hughes has completed 69.7 percent of his passes for 791 yards and 12 touchdowns and also run for a score.
<strong>WR [player_tooltip player_id="171955" first="Kevon" last="Jacobs"], 5-8, 175, Lutheran North, Class of 2022</strong>
Jacobs was Brown’s favorite target in the quarterback’s big game against St. Thomas Aquinas. Jacobs had a career day as he caught 10 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns. Another Lutheran North wide receiver who deserves a mention is standout freshman <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="179182" first="Justin" last="Price"]</strong>, who caught five passes for 179 yards and a touchdown.
<strong>RB [player_tooltip player_id="37527" first="Kaian" last="Roberts-Day"], 6-3, 250, Festus, Class of 2022</strong>
A Baylor commitment, Roberts-Day went off in a 62-14 win over visiting Windsor on Friday night. The 250-pounder, who is protected as a tight end in college, rushed for 163 yards and four touchdowns on just eight carries and also recovered a fumble.
<strong>QB [player_tooltip player_id="101699" first="Cole" last="Ruble"], 5-10, 180, Seckman, Class of 2023 (<a href="http://www.hudl.com/v/2F6bJc">HUDL highlights</a>)</strong>
Ruble showed his skills as a dual-threat quarterback in a 41-21 win against visiting Seckman. The standout junior ran for 240 yards and three touchdowns and completed 7 of 8 passes for 145 yards and three touchdowns. Through three games this season, Ruble has rushed for 781 yards and nine touchdowns and passed for 269 yards and five scores.
