The NC High School season is off to a great start and the player performances have been impressive. The players listed performances have been consistent each week leading up to the mid-season. They are expected to continue to play at a high-level as they enter into conference play.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="141291" first="Lucas" last="Lenhoff"], QB, 6’2" 205, Myers Park HS</strong>. The highlight film shows that he sets up in the pocket and delivers accurate medium and long ball passes on target to the receivers. His throwing action is smooth with a quick release. Multiple D1 schools should seek to make offers to this talented quarterback. [player_tooltip player_id="141291" first="Lucas" last="Lenhoff"] leads the state with 1,425 passing yards, 17 passing TDs, and 2 rushing TDs. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="141262" first="Jaydon" last="Brooks"], RB, 6’0" 210, Princeton HS</strong>. Jaydon is a strong straight-line runner who follows blockers then accelerates past defenders in the open field to gain big yardage, scoring often and consistent with his performance during the Spring Season as the highlight film shows. He does not go down after initial contact is made. [player_tooltip player_id="141262" first="Jaydon" last="Brooks"] has rushed for over 900 yards and D-1 offers are expected to come in for him. <strong> https://www.hudl.com/profile/13719534/Jaydon-Brooks</strong>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="28658" first="William" last="Hawkins IV"], WR, 6’4" 200, Heritage HS</strong>. The highlight film shows Will separating from defenders to make catches in traffic. He accelerates past defenders who play him tight to make long ball catches. A big positive for the big, sure-handed wide receiver is his ability to block, delivering punishing blocks often. Will Hawkins is a long-ball target and one of the best blocking receivers in the state. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="97528" first="Jesiah" last="Henderson"], OT, 6’5" 305, Rolesville HS</strong>. The highlight film shows Jesiah using his size and strength to control defenders with physical blocking. He moves with good speed and solid footwork. Jesiah anchors the offensive line and is the dominant player. D-1 offers are coming in for him.
