Watkins has carried the football 37 times for 197 yards (5.3 ypc) and one touchdown in two games this season. He has also made 10 total tackles on defense from the linebacker position. He’s a power back who does a good job at getting his pad-level low and runs downhill with authority. Watkins is physical and is hard to tackle on the perimeter once he gets going.
[player_tooltip player_id="200618" first="Evan" last="Taylor"]/Poolesville/5-9/190
Taylor has ran for 332 yards on 53 carries (6.3 ypg) in two games. He also has six total tackles (four solo) and one sack on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id="200619" first="Jameil" last="Moore"]/Reginald Lewis/5-9
Moore has rushed for 196 yards on 31 carries (6.3 ypc) and two touchdowns in two games this season. He has made nine total tackles (seven solo) on defense from his linebacker position.
[player_tooltip player_id="200626" first="Joshua" last="Seaforth-Farquharson"]/St. James/6-0/190
Seaforth-Farquharson isn’t a burner, more of a strider. Has a few long runs in his first couple of games. He has also displayed an ability to make defenses pay for overflowing by executing cutbacks to perfection which has resulted in long gains and/or touchdowns. Looking forward to seeing what his highlights look like at the end of the season.
[player_tooltip player_id="200620" first="Kordell" last="Batten"]/St. Charles/5-9/165
Batten had a strong game against Stone this past Friday. He carried the football 10 times for 152 yards and three touchdowns. His carries came with him receiving the snap in the wildcat formation. Batten was the most explosive looking player on the field as he showed off his cut on the drop of a dime on several runs. His ability to accelerate quickly is impressive as he gets to top speed in a hurry. I don’t know how he will be used going forward this season but it looks like St. Charles might’ve found a playmaker in Batten. Just keep feeding him the football.
[player_tooltip player_id="200621" first="Matthew" last="Berry"]/Leonardtown/6-1/190
Berry is another big back on this list and has a north-south running style. He’s the fullback in his team’s double-wing offense. Berry does a good job of hitting the hole hard and fast. In a game against McDonough a few weeks ago, there were a few runs where he wasn’t touched until he was 10-15 yards downfield. His offensive line deserves credit for that too.
[player_tooltip player_id="200622" first="Parker" last="Vanmeter"]/Frankfort/5-10/200
Vanmeter has carried the football 43 times for 241 yards (5.6 ypc) and two touchdowns in three games this season. He also has 22 total tackles (11 solo, 4 TFL) on defense.
[player_tooltip player_id="200623" first="Wyatt" last="Cotton"]/St. Mary’s/5-10/165
Cotton has carried the football 52 times for 306 yards (5.9 ypc) and three touchdowns in two games this season.
