Mr. Provost had an impressive performance in Friday night's game. This isn't the first time I've gotten to see what this young man can do as I saw him at a showcase during the summer. He's quick off the line of scrimmage where he gets to the hips of the defender and can break him of at the top of the route. This results in creating separation from the defender to get himself open off of out routes, curls, and fly routes. Mr. Provost is a deep threat that can go up for those 50/50 balls to make the contested catch, so much so that the Safety was shading towards his side in the 2nd half on passing downs.

<strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id="133182" first="Tony" last="Phillips"] 5’8 170 24’ RB <a href="https://twitter.com/Tonyfrmk3">Twitter</a></em></strong>
There was a lot of college interest about this young man heading into this fall season and after being able to see him LIVE I can see why. He has quick acceleration which he uses to burst through the line of scrimmage and follows his blocks. We got an insight into his shiftiness and elusiveness where he was making the first defender miss using jump cuts to get extra yards. What was impressive was the vision that he showcased, on more than one occasion he would see the cutback lane. Upon doing so, he stops on a dime to plant his foot into the ground and changes gears quickly getting back to full speed going in the opposite direction. Mr. Phillips can also line up in the slot where once he secures the catch he gets upfield.

<em><strong>Brady Bertrand 6’0 185 22’ QB <a href="https://twitter.com/BradyBertrand18">Twitter</a></strong></em>

Mr. Bertrand was commanding on their final drive of the game leading his team down the field as the time was ticking down with under 2 minutes to go in the 4th. He showcased poise in the pocket and handled the pressure well making sound decisions with the ball. For instance, instead of tacking a sack or forcing the ball into coverage as he was flushed out of the pocket rolling out to the right this young man decided to throw the ball away to stop the clock and give his team another opportunity to get the first down. Mr. Bertrand makes level 3 throws putting the ball in the receiver's basket giving him a shot at winning the 50/50 ball by putting a touch on the deep ball. He also is able to get the ball off under pressure with the defender right in his face and when he's flushed out of the pocket he can throw on the run.

<strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id="136388" first="Jaydon" last="Wright"] 6’0 225 24’ RB <a href="https://twitter.com/JaydonWright_">Twitter</a></em></strong>
Mr. Wright is another young man on this team that has a lot of college interest heading into this fall season. He and Mr. Phillips remind me of "Thunder and Lightening" with the way that they balance each other out with their playstyles and how they're utilized. This young man is a downhill runner that's hard to bring down as he keeps his feet driving fighting for extra yards. He also has the ability to bounce off hits as seen with one play where he got hit at the line of scrimmage. Mr. Wright bounced off this hit, regained his balance, and was off to the races along the left sideline resulting in a 25+ gain on the play. He's also used as a lead blocker in the running game and is used in pass protection as well where he picks up the rushing defensive lineman/blitzing linebacker to keep the pocket clean.
<strong><em>Kaden Mondy 6’0 225 23’ OL <a href="https://twitter.com/KMondy52">Twitter</a></em></strong>
This young man caught my attention with his hook block that he made which opened up the lane for Mr. Right to get his big run of the night. Mr. Mondy fires off the ball where he gets hands-on at the point of attack creating running lanes for his teammates. In pass protection, he was able to stay square forcing the defensive lineman to take the outside rush lane.
<em><strong>Alan Smith 6'0 185 22' RB </strong></em>
Mr. Smith came to light in the 2nd half of the game at tailback for this offensive unit. He has quick acceleration which he uses to burst through the line of scrimmage and reads his blocks well resulting in gaining extra yards. This young man runs similar to that of Mr. Phillips where he weaves in and out of defenders changing gears in an instant.
<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em><strong>Coal City </strong></em></span>
<em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="155332" first="Nick" last="Seplak"] 22’ RB <a href="https://twitter.com/NickSeplak">Twitter</a></strong></em>
<img class="wp-image-196625 alignleft" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/09/IMG_5323-225x300.jpeg" alt="" width="160" height="214" />
Mr. Seplak was doing what Mr. Seplak does in this ball game on both sides of the ball. He's a downhill runner that plays through the whistle fighting for every yard. His hard running ability paid off when he takes a hit at the line of scrimmage, bounces off of it to the left and after regaining his balance accelerates into the endzone putting the Coalers on the board for their first score of the night. Mr. Seplak will also line up at wideout where he blocks downfield for his teammates on bubble screenplays. His aggressive nature and attacking playstyle are one to see, be on the lookout for this young man the rest of the season. Mr. Seplak is going to be one that opposing teams are going to have to key in on as he's an impact player for the Coalers.

<em><strong>Ashton Harvey 22’ RB <a href="https://twitter.com/Ashton74373651">Twitter</a></strong></em>
<img class=" wp-image-196626 alignleft" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/09/IMG_5324-225x300.jpeg" alt="" width="151" height="202" />
Mr. Harvey gets after it on both sides of the ball showcasing his aggressive and attacking playstyle on both. On offense, he's a hard runner that once the ball is in his hands he isn't afraid to lower his shoulder to play through contact. This young man is a downhill runner that entices contact at the point of attack and plays through the contact by keeping his feet driving. There was a play where he took the handoff on the outside sweep and once he turned the corner he used a jump cut to make the first defender miss before turning the corner for a first down on the play. Mr. Harvey is going to be one that opposing teams are going to have to key in on as he's another impact player for the Coalers.
<em><strong>Cason Headley 23’ RB </strong></em>
Mr. Headley is a new name to me and wow he was a sight to see for the Coalers. In the return game, he's able to change his gears quickly and read his blocks setting himself up for a big return. This was seen right after Bishop McNamara scored their first points on the board here he received the kickoff and took it down to the 45-yard line setting up Coal City with good starting field position. When the ball is in his hands he's able to bounce off of hits playing through contact gaining extra yards on the play.

<em><strong>Nick Latta 22’ OL </strong></em><em style="font-size: 1rem;"><strong> </strong></em><em><strong><img class="wp-image-196623 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/09/IMG_5321-225x300.jpeg" alt="" width="140" height="187" /></strong></em>
Mr. Latta got after it Friday night on the offensive line for the Coalers. What I like most about this young man is how he gets hands-on quickly at the point of attack and keeps his feet driving pushing the defender back creating running lanes for his teammates. On countless plays, running plays would be run right behind him as he gets after it and plays through the whistle blocking whoever was in his path.
<em><strong>Braden Reilly 23’ QB <a href="https://twitter.com/BradenReilly17">Twitter</a></strong></em>
Mr. Reilly is a Varsity Newcomer at the Quarterback position for the Coalers. He's able to put the ball in tight coverage getting the ball into the receiver's basket. He does this by putting zip on the ball when making level 1 & 2 throws to keep the chains moving.
<em><strong>Nick Leasure 22’ OL </strong></em>
Mr. Leasure caught my eye as a prospect that showcased glimpses of the potential that he has. He has a good frame, keeps his feet driving where he plays through the whistle, and washes the defensive line down. With further development, you'll get a better understanding of how high his potential goes, be sure to keep an eye on Mr. Leasure for the rest of the season.
