Enjoy!</em></strong> A 2016 report from the National Federation of State High School Associations found that an average of 38 percent of recruits from the four teams that made the 2016 college football playoff had played basketball in high school. Below is a watchlist of some of the most outstanding multi-sport stars playing for their high school teams this week in Oklahoma High School football: <table style="width: 100%; border-collapse: collapse; background-color: #fdffd6;"> <tbody> <tr> <td style="width: 100%; text-align: center;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="135491" first="Davis" last="Dotson"]</strong> | Berryhill ’22</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <table style="height: 21px; width: 100%; border-collapse: collapse; background-color: #e8e3e3;"> <tbody> <tr style="height: 21px;"> <td style="width: 33.333333333333336%; height: 21px; text-align: center;">6’6" OL</td> <td style="width: 33.333333333333336%; height: 21px; text-align: center;">Not Committed</td> <td style="width: 33.333333333333336%; height: 21px; text-align: center;">Rank: 🏈No. 5 OL 🏀WL C</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <em><strong>vs. Cushing, Friday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m.</strong></em> <img class="size-medium wp-image-170963 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/07/Davis-Dotson-2-crop-5931x3894-1626321295-300x197.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="197" />Dotson’s H&amp;H Elite and Mannford guard Ryan Day said Dotson "might be the greatest athlete" Day has ever seen. Standing at a towering 6-foot-6-inches, 290 lbs., Dotson is rated as the No. 5 offensive lineman in the state, boasting numerous Division-I offers to play football. Dotson is also slated to lead Berryhill’s basketball team this winter. Considering his stature, Dotson has remarkably quick, nimble feet. He has little trouble moving opposing defensive frontmen on Friday nights, known for driving them yards away from the play quicker than a snap. When it’s time to hit the court, though, Dotson does a fabulous job getting open in the post and using a quick move or two to score past tall defenders. <table style="width: 100%; border-collapse: collapse; background-color: #fdffd6;"> <tbody> <tr> <td style="width: 100%; text-align: center;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="61134" first="Corey" last="Gordon"] Jr.</strong> | Putnam City West ’22</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <table style="height: 21px; width: 100%; border-collapse: collapse; background-color: #e8e3e3;"> <tbody> <tr style="height: 21px;"> <td style="width: 33.333333333333336%; height: 21px; text-align: center;">6’3" DB</td> <td style="width: 33.333333333333336%; height: 21px; text-align: center;">Committed: Baylor</td> <td style="width: 33.333333333333336%; height: 21px; text-align: center;">Rank: 🏈No. 4 DB 🏀No. 5 SF</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <em><strong>vs. Putnam City North, Friday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m.</strong></em> It’s hard to tell which sport Gordon Jr., a Baylor football commit, is best at. The springy athlete can be utilized in a variety of fashions on the gridiron. The P.C. West football coaches have enjoyed using his 6-foot-3-inch frame and basketball skill-set the past couple years, with Gordon Jr. being used on both sides of the ball; he plans to lead the state in interceptions this season, he has mentioned a few times on <a href="https://twitter.com/corey2saucey/status/1434553243527520257?s=21">Twitter</a> in the past month. The P.C. West basketball staff has reaped the same benefits of having Gordon Jr. on the floor. He can play inside-out, showcasing talents in the interior and exterior. He has also been known, on occasion, to throw one of these down: https://twitter.com/corey2saucey/status/1355370495756169217?s=21 <table style="width: 100%; border-collapse: collapse; background-color: #fdffd6;"> <tbody> <tr> <td style="width: 100%; text-align: center;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="61125" first="NuNu" last="Campbell"]</strong> | Holland Hall ’22</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <table style="width: 100%; border-collapse: collapse; background-color: #e8e3e3;"> <tbody> <tr> <td style="width: 33.333333333333336%; text-align: center;">5’11" WR/DB</td> <td style="width: 33.333333333333336%; text-align: center;">Committed: Tulsa</td> <td style="width: 33.333333333333336%; text-align: center;">Rank: 🏈No. 3 DB 🏀WL G</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <em><strong>at Metro Christian, Friday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m.</strong></em> Campbell, who committed to Tulsa a couple weeks ago, regularly makes plays all over the field, and sometimes it doesn’t even look like the speedy senior is trying. <img class="size-medium wp-image-170898 alignleft" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/07/Nunu-Campbell-8-crop-5977x3924-1626318166-300x197.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="197" />Also a fifth-place finisher in the state 400 meters with a sub-50 PR, Campbell has been frequently used offensively in screens, where the Dutch use his speed in open space to make plays. However, it’s the defensive side of the ball on which Campbell shines the brightest. Last season, he caught four interceptions and brought a pair of them back for touchdowns, leading the Dutch defensively in their state championship season. Similarly, the Dutch basketball team, which made it to the state quarterfinals in 2020, benefits from Campbell’s defensive-mindedness; coach Teddy Owens has called Campbell a "lock-down defender," as Campbell routinely gathered three, four, or even five steals on Tuesday and Friday nights last winter. https://twitter.com/kordellgouldsby/status/1434291339773071361?s=21 <table style="width: 100%; border-collapse: collapse; background-color: #fdffd6;"> <tbody> <tr> <td style="width: 100%; text-align: center;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="53331" first="Nick" last="Nabavi"]</strong> | Cashion ’22</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <table style="height: 21px; width: 100%; border-collapse: collapse; background-color: #e8e3e3;"> <tbody> <tr style="height: 21px;"> <td style="width: 33.333333333333336%; height: 21px; text-align: center;">6’0" RB/LB</td> <td style="width: 33.333333333333336%; height: 21px; text-align: center;">Not Committed</td> <td style="width: 33.333333333333336%; height: 21px; text-align: center;">Rank: 🏈NR 🏀NR</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <em><strong>at Thomas-Fay Custer, Friday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m.</strong></em> If retrieving overthrown passes or made field goals at your home stadium requires a voyage through a shoulder-high cornfield, chances are you play multiple sports. Nabavi, a two-way star for the defending Class A state champions, is also a standout for the Wildcats’ basketball and baseball teams. Against Perry two weeks ago, the defending district tight end of the year scored one touchdown, rushed for 94 yards and caught two passes for 56 yards. Now lined up in the backfield, Nabavi can do it all, taking direct snaps, catching screens, dashing through gaps for first downs, and even blocking lead in some situations, a skill the physical, quick back doesn’t take for granted. He was also responsible for multiples tackles-for-loss, including a couple stunts in which Nabavi lined up over the furthest inside receiver in a trips formation before blitzing the quarterback, showcasing his impressive speed and defensive iQ. https://twitter.com/tvcashion/status/1341851070465642496?s=21
