Two out of the five still need to get some film uploaded, but their listed production gives them a spot on the list. Here are five freshmen that are making the most out of their varsity action:
Jayden Lloyd, LB, Cascade Christian
Lloyd has racked up 34 total tackles and 5 sacks thus far, which includes a big 3 sack debut week 1 against La Center. He sizes up at 6’1″ 180 lbs and will only continue to grow and add strength as he matures and develops. He helped Cascade Christian secure their first W last week over Life Christian Academy, so he’ll be a prospect to monitor the rest of the season to see of his role starts to expand.
Beau Pruett, RB/DB, Monroe
Pruett is developing into a promising prospect, so far rushing for 273 yards and 3 TD’s. He sizes up at a lean 5’7″ 160lbs right now with a muscular, athletic frame. As a ball carrier, he flashes some patience for lanes to develop and shows an excellent burst and acceleration. Good short area quickness with a window to build twitch, and is very explosive laterally out of his cuts. Good speed for a 2025 kid and should be a big play threat in the future as he develops and gains experience. As a FS, he flashed glimpses of reading the QB’s eyes to burst to the ball, as he’s snagged an INT this season as well.
Joe Callerame, QB, Seton Catholic
Callerame has thrown for 354 yards and 6 TD’s in 3 games played thus far, and has also added a TD on the ground. He possesses an athletic frame and build at 5’10” 160lbs right now with much more room to grow. He flashes a smooth release with the ability to deliver accurate throws on the move in both directions. Good all around athlete that still has much room to develop mechanically in the pocket and process reads a bit faster.
Jacob Williams, RB/LB, Seton Catholic
Williams is another freshman to know for Seton Catholic and does a bit of everything for them, as he’s recorded 2 TD’s as a ball carrier, 29 tackles as a LB, and looks to be a solid return man on special teams. There’s no film uploaded from Williams quite yet, but his role looks to be a promising one as a freshman considering he has been fairly productive from numerous aspects of the game (offense, defense, special teams).
Carson Moore, ATH, Klahowya
Moore has been able to snatch 2 INT’s in games 3 played thus far here in 2021. He has also been a contributor on offense by throwing for 66 yards and catching 2 passes for 72 yards and a TD according to MaxPreps stats. He sizes up at 6’1″ 170lbs with solid length for a young prospect, and needs to get that film uploaded to start getting evaluated more in depth.
