Class of 23 Linebacker Spotlight

There are some big-time highly recruited prospects and several sleeper prospects that should all be getting looks for the next level. Prep Redzone Florida will always promote everybody in hopes of them getting the opportunity of playing college football at the next level.</span></em></strong></span></p> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; <p id="E16" class="x-scope qowt-word-para-0"><strong><em><span id="E17" class="qowt-font1-Arial">Carmello Murphy- Mandarin High</span></em></strong></p> <p id="E18" class="x-scope qowt-word-para-0"><strong><em><span id="E19" class="qowt-font1-Arial">5’10 210lbs</span></em></strong></p> <p id="E20" class="x-scope qowt-word-para-0"><span id="E21" class="qowt-font1-Arial">Murphy’s off to a fast start with Mandarin High, he’s second in the state in his class with 60 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks. He’s averaging over 15 tackles a game! Power is off to a fast start again this season registering 50 tackles, eight tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks through three games. He’s an outstanding athlete that excels in space and pass coverage, equally as good against the run, fires off at the snap and accelerates to the ball, sideline to sideline linebacker that takes good angles to the football. He’s off to a fast start this season registering 43 tackles, four tackles for loss, and two sacks. He’s averaging over 10 tackles per game. He shows outstanding acceleration and burst to the football, has above-average instincts, it is a very good overall athlete that makes plays all over the field.
