Prep Redzone looks at a few dozen players from the West Jersey Football League players that you should watch out for this upcoming season. The majority of these players either have offers, earned all-league, all-region, or all-state honors, or contributed on the varsity level last season.

Delan running back [player_tooltip player_id="136734" first="Zachary" last="Palmer-Smith"] made the most out of the four games he played during the 2020 season. Palmer-Smith carried the football 87 taimes for 828 yards (9.5 ypc) and 13 touchdowns. That’s over 200 yards per game rushing for the folks counting at home.
Delran quarterback Derek Naum completed 42-of-69 passes for 550 yards, one touchdown, and one interception last season.
Delran super-athlete [player_tooltip player_id="27968" first="Kenny" last="Fletcher"] caught 23 passes for 350 yards (15.2 ypc) and one touchdown last season. He also made 26 total tackles (21 solo) on defense.
Haddonfield’s Billy Hahn made 40 total tackles (20 solo) on defense last season.
Collingwood’s Ryan Rodgers (50 total, 27 solo), Keenan Zelem (44 total, 26 solo), and Matthew Hoffman (35 total, 21 solo) were among the top tacklers in the division.

Despite being an undersized safety, Camden Catholic’s Dan Dever made 53 total tackles (34 solos) last season.
Jackson Ferrante made 53 total tackles (35 solo) last season for Haddon Heights.

St. Joseph Hammonton’s Cohl Mercado rushed 103 times for 619 yards and seven touchdowns last season. His teammate Kevin Mayfield rushed for 346 yards and eight touchdowns last season. Both backs should see more carries due to the graduation of [player_tooltip player_id="27928" first="Ahmad" last="Ross"] (166 carries for 1,112 yards and 15 touchdowns last season).
St. Joseph Hammonton defensive lineman Z’amir Thomas made 53 total tackles (12 solo) last season.
Cherokee linebacker Mike Muckensturm made 49 total tackles (13 solo) last season.
