Two outstanding defensive players from Oaks Christian committed to Pac 12 schools this week.
Linebacker [player_tooltip player_id="25246" first="Sterling" last="Lane"] committed to Arizona last Friday.
Lane chose the Wildcats over 14 other schools that offered him, including many Pac 12 schools. He took his visit on June 4 and had since visited Oregon State and Colorado.
He is the seventh player from California in Arizona’s 2022 recruiting class and the second defensive player, joining [player_tooltip player_id="25312" first="Tacario" last="Davis"] from Millikan.
Arizona has the No. 4 ranked recruiting class in the Pac 12 according to 247Sports.
Edge rusher [player_tooltip player_id="25255" first="Mathias" last="Malaki-Donaldson"] committed to Oregon State on Sunday.
He chose Oregon State over 10 other schools including Pac 12 schools like Arizona and Arizona State and a SEC school LSU.
Malaki-Donaldson is the third player from California in Oregon State’s 2022 class, joining [player_tooltip player_id="25325" first="Travis" last="Throckmorton"] (Simi Valley) and [player_tooltip player_id="118777" first="Carlos" last="Mack"] (Clovis).

Loyola (Los Angeles) receiver [player_tooltip player_id="25272" first="Jacoby" last="Kelly"] committed to San Diego State last Friday.
The 6-foot-3, 200 pound receiver chose San Diego State over 12 other schools, mostly Group of 5 conference schools.
Kelly took an unofficial visit in June with his mother and he loved the atmosphere. He told Greg Biggins of 247Sports that he feels comfortable in the environment in San Diego and has a good relationship with the coaching staff.
He’s only the second offensive player from California in the Aztec’s 2022 recruiting class, joining Sheldon Canley Jr. of Lompoc.

Sierra Canyon edge rusher [player_tooltip player_id="25275" first="Ezekiel" last="Larry"] committed to Yale on Monday.
Larry chose Yale over five other schools including Colorado and Florida. Brown is another Ivy League school that offered him.
He is a defensive end who is 6-foot-2 and around 235 pounds who can play on the strong or weak side.
Larry is the first player from California in Yale’s 2022 recruiting class. Yale has the No. 1 ranked recruiting class in the Ivy League according to 247Sports.

Chaminade safety [player_tooltip player_id="115429" first="Marquis" last="Gallegos"] got his first two Division 1 offers this week.
Fresno State and San Jose State have both offered the 6-foot-1 safety.
He had a stellar freshman season in the spring for Chaminade and had a very good opening game last week, grabbing two interceptions in a blowout win over Oaks Christian.
Gallegos is a talented sophomore who will be a national recruit this offseason.

Mater Dei Catholic (Chula Vista) receiver [player_tooltip player_id="145133" first="Jeremiah" last="McClure"] added two Pac 12 offers this week.
USC and Arizona offered the talented junior receiver. He had 148 yards receiving and two touchdowns in Mater Dei’s win over Brawley last week.
San Diego State has also offered McClure.
