Class 2A. Class 2A football in Alabama is like none other. The bright Friday night lights streaks over and thru the trees where the field plays center to a big beautiful moon enchanted by a boisterous crowd. The players adrenaline rushes the morning of seeing the Good luck signs at the local pit stop and the community shuts down for the night. If you're getting feelings from the "Friday Night Lights" Movie then correct that’s the exact vibe.
Some teams decided to opt-out last season due to an abrupt pandemic. Some teams will take the field for the first time since 2019. The recruiting classes around Alabama has gotten some depth over the past couple of years all the way from 1A-7A. There’s true talent around and we’re excited to see the match-ups.

This Junior receiver plays both sides of the ball with a 40-yard dash speed 4.77. The long Wide Receiver has a nice frame finding a way to get open behind DB’s with his speed and size. Carlisle may be the biggest threat on defense snatching 2 interceptions last season in a game versus Comer. His ball hawk skills show the comparison and obvious reason to why he stands out on offense. Juane Bryant- DE, 6’2 180 C/O 2022 - Midfield High
Last season Midfield was forced to shut down the season after four games in. Coach Rod Isaac made that hard decision after covid-19 interrupted gameplay. Hoping not to kill spirits luckily the basketball season gave the Patriots hope winning the State Finals. QB Anthony Johnson was a part of that championship team and feels he can bring that spirit to the football field. Bryant has a dominance attitude being a menace to offensive lineman. Bryant has quick hands coming off the ball with a nice rip move. Bryant use his shiftiness and slims himself down to make plays that seems to be his best and favorite move. His size could possibly move him to Outside Linebacker on the collegiate level. His pursuit to the ball is among the best. Midfield may be a 2A school but they have fairly match larger schools in competition. Look forward to seeing Brayants stats against 5A Wenonah High this season. Those numbers will show 2A is just the Class level, these guys are here to ball!
