Will Bingham, Laguna Beach, 2022
Bingham has always been a high-volume passer in Laguna Beach’s offense but he had the best game of his career in week zero against Costa Mesa. He threw for 341 yards and five touchdowns all in the first half in the 54-13 win. He is a good athlete with a good feel for the Laguna Beach offense who is worthy of more recruiting attention than he has received.

Cayden Gent, Mt. Carmel, 2022
Quarterbacks who play for Mt. Carmel’s new coach Drew Westling generally put up good numbers and Gent is no exception. The lefty completed 24 of 24 passes for 239 yards and three touchdowns in the Sundevils’ 33-17 win over Central. He also ran for two touchdowns. His athleticism and ability to extend plays with his legs adds a dynamic to Mt. Carmel’s offense that is exciting. Gent could be a 25 plus touchdown guy this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="25351" first="Clash" last="Orsborn"], Mission Bay, 2022
Orsborn was highly ranked on this website when it launched last July but for some reason his recruiting stock hasn’t risen. He is still playing very well and advertises himself well on social media. He completed 15 of 17 passes for 306 yards with five touchdowns in a blowout win over El Cajon Valley. Orsborn is an academic all star as well and has been looked at by Harvard and Dartmouth, but his only offer right now is Puget Sound.

[player_tooltip player_id="25441" first="Kadin" last="Semonza"], Mission Viejo, 2023
Semonza was instrumental in Mission Viejo’s comeback win against a very good Apple Valley team. He threw for 370 yards and five touchdowns in Week 0 and had a rushing touchdown. He spread the ball around well and threw touchdowns to four different receivers. He put on some muscle in the short offseason and looked good when I saw him at the Mission Viejo passing tournament. The schedule gets tougher for Semonza but if he keeps playing like this, Mission Viejo may be able to upset some teams.

Dominic Tubbs, Santiago/Corona, 2023
Tubbs is the only quarterback on this list to have lost the game he dominated in but Santiago would not have been in the game at all without him. He completed 23 passes for 449 yards and five touchdowns, including a 75-yard touchdown to Bryce Parker. He worked hard to come back from a PCL injury to play this fall and it paid off.
