Although it may come to no surprise that these five players have landed on this list, the best is yet to come with these promising young prospects. Here is a look at five RB’s from the 2024 class that project to have breakout seasons this fall:
Unterrio Latin-Henley Unterrio Latin-Henley 5'11" | 195 lbs | RB Washington | 2024 State WA , 5’11″ 195lbs, Eastside Catholic
Latin-Henley is a very athletic kid and a dynamic athlete with the ability to change the game from multiple dimensions. He possesses excellent twitch, flexibility, and short area quickness with good top end speed for consistent big play ability. Good COD and is explosive out of his cuts, as he can make one cut and be gone. He flashes good instincts and lateral agility at the LOS to make initial opponents miss and is creative in space to make opponents miss in open field. He flashes a good pad level and physicality at the POC when he needs to put his shoulder down. Solid in the passing game as he runs crisp routes with technique from the slot or the backfield. He possesses good hands and body control with the ability to be a threat as a receiver as well.
Jason Brown Jason Brown 5'10" | 205 lbs | ATH ODea | 2024 State WA , 5’10″ 185lbs, O’Dea
Brown is one of the most gifted young prospects in the state as he already holds 9 offers as he heads into his sophomore season. Excellent frame and build with the ability to be a bell-cow back and run between the tackles or stretch the edge with his speed. He displays a good burst with solid vision and does a great job running through initial contact. Good balance with the ability to break and bounce off tackles and he possesses solid lateral mobility to generate space or make opponents miss. Very explosive back with top end speed to finish big runs, and should be a national recruit after this season.
Joshua Collie Joshua Collie 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Spanaway Lake | 2024 WA , 5’10″ 200lbs, Spanaway Lake
Collie sizes up with a strong frame and build and is trending in the direction of your work horse, 20+ carries a game type of back. He possesses excellent vision with the ability to seek out narrow developing lanes. He hits the hole with a purpose and does a great job running through initial contact, and is a mean, downhill runner all-around. Oftentimes inches away from numerous big plays during his freshman year, I expect Collie to take a huge leap in maturity and production as we head into the season.
Rahshawn Clark Rahshawn Clark 6'0" | 180 lbs | ATH Garfield | 2024 State WA , 5’10″ 160lbs, Life Christian Academy
Clark is a raw talent that will continue to take leaps and impress each year throughout his high school career. He possesses excellent twitch and COD with top end speed to finish big runs and be that spark. He displays solid instincts, balance, and body control and is checking all the boxes as a double digit offer kid as he matures. Clark possesses good ball skills as well and is a flat out impressive young prospect with off the charts potential and will be a game changer with the ball in his hands and anywhere he lines up.
Tayshaun Micks Tayshaun Micks 5'11" | 170 lbs | DB Emerald Ridge | 2024 State WA , 5’10″ 160lbs, Emerald Ridge
Micks is stud on both sides of the ball with the ability to make a massive impact for Emerald Ridge here in 2021. He possesses good flexibility and twitch and shows a nice burst through an open lane. He flashes excellent COD and lateral mobility to cutback on a dime and be elusive in tight spaces. Micks holds solid top end speed in space with big play ability written all over his name in 2021. Emerald Ridge has a handful of promising young prospects, so expect Micks to establish himself quick this season.
