Angel Flores Angel Flores 6'0" | 210 lbs | QB Casa Grande Union | 2022 State AZ , 6’0″ 210lbs, Casa Grande ’22
Flores is possibly the most talented prospect in 4A football. He’ll enter his senior season with offers from Rice, Morgan State, Northern Arizona, Eastern Washington, and Columbia and should continue to see some more come in throughout the season. He led Casa Grande to a 4A semifinals loss to Cactus in 2020, and could once again make a deep run in the playoffs. He moves around in the pocket well to slide, step up, or evade pressure. He’s shown the ability to hit throws with velocity or touch and can deliver off-platform throws on the money. Big potential here in 2021 as Flores projects to be one of the top QB’s in the state and put up big numbers.
Logan Hubler Logan Hubler 6'2" | 180 lbs | QB American Leadership Academy (Queen Creek) | 2022 State AZ , 6’2″ 180lbs, ALA- Queen Creek ’22
Hubler is a dual-threat QB with the ability to change the game with his arm or on the ground. Good pocket mechanics when he decides to stay in the pocket as he delivers with a clean release and can put zip on it if he wants to. He looks very comfortable throwing on the move and does a great job extending plays. He racked up over 3,000 total yards and 38 TD’s in 2020, proving to be a legit game changer. He possesses impressive top end speed as a ball carrier and is a threat to take it to the house anytime he decides to take off. He currently holds an offer from Lake Forest, and holds a very high ceiling and a big opportunity to rise his stock.
Nick Martinez Nick Martinez 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB St. Mary's | 2022 State AZ , 6’1″ 190lbs, St. Mary’s ’22
Martinez has looked strong this offseason, as I got a chance to see him live at the Lake Forest camp where he was throwing dimes all day with excellent timing and placement. On film, Martinez does a great job breaking out of sacks to extend plays and find receivers downfield. He transitions and throws well off PA and knows when use velocity vs touch. He’ll have a tough season ahead of him as St. Mary’s opens up at Brophy, where he’ll get to test himself against numerous division 1 prospects. He currently holds an NAIA offer from Jamestown and a DIII offer from St. Norbert.
Micah Southwick Micah Southwick 6'2" | 165 lbs | QB Moon Valley | 2022 State AZ , 6’3″ 205lbs, Moon Valley ’22
Southwick sizes up with a good frame and build and is a pure pocket passer for Moon Valley. The southpaw stands tall and poised in the pocket and flashes anticipation for routes to develop. He delivers with a smooth release and has shown the ability to hit all 3 levels of throws with timing. He has a good understanding of zone coverages, which contributes to his anticipation to hit receivers in the soft spot. He is drawing DII, DIII, and NAIA interest but is still seeking that first offer as we head into the season.
Jason Stevens Jason Stevens 6'1" | 160 lbs | QB Walden Grove | 2022 State AZ , 6’1″ 160lbs, Walden Grove ’22
Stevens is a sleeper down in southern AZ. He’s a sure playmaker behind center and is an exciting player to watch. He frequently escapes pressure and scrambles outside the pocket to find receivers downfield for big plays. He shows the ability to deliver accurate off-platform throws in both directions. He still has room to develop in the pocket, but with another year under his belt, he could take a major leap in maturity from his junior to senior year and has the potential to put up big numbers in 4A ball and land that first offer.
