THIS WEEK’S TOP STORIES
First Offer Alert!
Over the last two weeks or so, Drake has been incredibly busy recruiting the state of Oklahoma. Drake is no stranger to recruiting Oklahoma but they’ve been on top of their game over the last two weeks, extending offers to four 2022 prospects, who hadn’t received a D1 offer prior to picking one up from Drake. Up first, Heritage Hall standout Brigham Evans Brigham Evans 6'2" | 190 lbs | LB Heritage Hall | 2022 State OK picked up an offer, followed by a pair of quarterbacks in Victory Christian’s Triton Chandler Triton Chandler 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB Victory Christian | 2022 State OK and Community Christian’s Boyce McIntosh Boyce McIntosh 6'1" | 200 lbs | QB Community Christian | 2022 State OK . Finally, just last night, Bethel standout Corey Metscher Corey Metscher 6'0" | 205 lbs | LB Bethel | 2022 State OK also earned an offer from the Bulldogs.
Evans and Metscher are similar prospects as they are both hard-hitting linebackers that will also spend some time on offense in the backfield as a ball carrier. However, when it comes down to their position at the next level, it’s more than likely going to be on defense. As for Chandler and McIntosh, they are both similar in stature as well as their play on the field. They can throw it all over the yard but they’re also athletic enough to tuck the ball and run. Drake has certainly recruited some quarterbacks out of Oklahoma over the last decade so maybe either Chandler or McIntosh will be the next one up.

tweeted out about September 4th. While it’s not set in stone, this could be the date that Campbell announces his commitment. As it stands right now, he is one of the top available prospects in the state’s 2022 class and is one of the top defensive back prospects in the class as well. Campbell helped lead Holland Hall to their first ever state championship last year and the Dutch are back for more this fall.
Among the schools that Campbell has offers from and could be deciding between are Kansas, Tulsa, Utah State and Washington State. In our opinion, Kansas and Tulsa have to be the frontrunners to land the Holland Hall star. Kansas has done an excellent job landing not only Oklahoma talent, but specifically Tulsa-area talent at the defensive back position. As for Tulsa, it’s close to home and Campbell’s former teammate Owen Ostroski Owen Ostroski 6'3" | DL Holland Hall | 2021 State OK is a true freshman already making waves as a defensive standout.
