Prep RedZone Arkansas Joe T. Robinson Vs Pulaski Academy Preview

The number of talented players in the Robinson-Pulaski Academy game is extremely impressive. The Robinson-Pulaski Academy will help set the momentum for each team as they both look to get the season started off on the right foot. Both Robinson and Pulaski Academy have goals of playing in Little Rock in November. We are going to give a preview of what both teams need to do to pick up a win and start the season on the right foot. Starting off with the Bruins offense. [player_tooltip player_id="168255" first="Charlie" last="Fiser"] returns for his senior season, and he has proven to be a talented signal caller for Pulaski Academy. Fiser passed for 2,761 yards and 38 touchdowns last season. Fiser is an extremely accurate quarterback, and he uses his legs to escape the pocket and pick up extra yardage. Fiser will want to get off to a good start against Robinson. The Bruins have one of the best running backs in the state of Arkansas in the offensive backfield in the form of [player_tooltip player_id="75067" first="Joe" last="Himon"]. The Northwestern commit does a little bit of everything for the explosive Bruins’ offense. Himon rushed for over 1,900 yards and 23 touchdowns last season. The Robinson Senators are going to have to find a way to contain Himon in order to win this game. However, containing Himon in the running game will not completely shut down the talented running back, he also is a dangerous receiver out of the backfield. Pulaski Academy’s wide receiving corps is dangerous year in-year out. [player_tooltip player_id="153937" first="Jaylin" last="McKinney"] picks up big chunks of yardage with the ball in his hands. He is a player that can create explosive plays and is difficult to cover because of his speed. [player_tooltip player_id="165832" first="Charlie" last="Barker"] is a dangerous target in the red zone. The Robinson Senators must be able to account for Barker or he will torch them in the red zone. [player_tooltip player_id="170830" first="Tyson" last="McCarroll"] uses his 6-4 frame well and he does an excellent job of being able to high point the football. The Robinson defense is going to have its hands full against Pulaski Academy. The Pulaski Academy defense has plenty of talent to go around as well. Del Pignio is an extremely disruptive presence on the defensive line, and he will have a big job of trying to stop the Robinson running game. Linebacker [player_tooltip player_id="132961" first="Mason" last="Schueck"] has tremendous versatility he can play the linebacker spot effectively and then move to the defensive line position. Look out for Josh Caddy in the secondary, the young man has the potential to have an impressive season and will be leaned upon in the Robinson game. Meanwhile, the Robinson Senators are a talented team as well. Coach Todd Eskola will be counting on a strong rushing attack to help open up the passing game. G’kyson Wright will see some time at quarterback and is dangerous running the ball or throwing the football. Jack Cleveland will likely see some snaps and he passed for 144 yards a season ago. The quarterback position will get plenty of chances to make plays this season. The rushing attack for the Senators is a talented one to say the least. Daryl Searcy is an explosive runner that can get into the open field quickly. Searcy rushed for 365 and five touchdowns last season. Searcy is joined in the backfield by [player_tooltip player_id="133436" first="Anthony" last="Freeman"] who has dangerous speed both in the run and passing game. The Bruins are going to have to find a way to shut down a strong Robinson rushing attack. With Searcy and Freeman in the backfield that may be easier said than done. In the passing game, the Bruins will have to account for Kirby Owens and Brandon Griel. Searcy and Freeman are dangerous receivers out of the backfield. The Senators are going to depend upon the rushing game to open up the passing game. The Robinson and Pulaski Academy game has the potential to be a high scoring affair. On the defensive side of the ball, [player_tooltip player_id="75061" first="E’Marion" last="Harris"] is a beast on both the offensive and defensive lines. He is an extremely disruptive player that can just overpower people. [player_tooltip player_id="180297" first="Ashtyn" last="Williams"] racked up 97 tackles a year ago and will need to have a big game against a potent Bruins offense. Getting stops will be key for the Robinson defense, the Bruins have the ability to score and score quickly. Last season’s game was a shootout. I do not expect the kickoff to this season to be that much different. The Bruins do just enough to earn a victory 41-38 in what has the potential to be a classic.
