Prep Redzone has released its initial Class of 2024 rankings for the state of New Jersey. We expected this list to take several shapes in the next few years. There will be a mid-season change to this list that should include the addition of more players. For now, let’s take a position-by-position look at the 2024 prospect rankings.
Note: There was a late addition to the rankings. We will update the rankings to reflect the rankings in this article.
QUARTERBACKS
No. 24 [player_tooltip player_id="172828" first="Deangelo" last="Conquest"]/6-2/165/Overbrook
No. 26 [player_tooltip player_id="172836" first="Patrick" last="Grusser"]/6-1/175/DePaul Catholic
No. 27 [player_tooltip player_id="172835" first="Chris" last="Dietrich"]/6-3/190/Bernards
Breakdown
[player_tooltip player_id="172828" first="Deangelo" last="Conquest"] gets the early nod for now because he’s the quarterback with the most in-game experience. He’s shown the most at the varsity level out of the 2024 quarterbacks currently ranked. Conquest completed 67-of-119 passes for 835 yards, nine touchdowns, and eight interceptions. With a year under his belt, he should be able to improve his touchdown-to-interception ratio.
