1. [player_tooltip player_id="37659" first="Allen" last="Mitchell"], De Smet
Mitchell, the No. 13 overall prospect in the updated Missouri Class of 2023, is an electric 5-foot-10, 175-pounder with enough versatility to be a difference maker as a running back or a wide receiver. He had 213 total yards (127 receiving, 86 rushing) and two touchdowns in seven games as a sophomore after 220 total yards (111 rushing, 109 receiving) and one touchdown as a freshman. When De Smet's three Division I running backs graduated this spring, Mitchell went from a supporting cast member to a starring role as the go-to guy in the backfield. He has already received early scholarship offers from Kansas, Illinois, Kansas State, Kentucky, Michigan State and Minnesota after impressive camp performances.
2. [player_tooltip player_id="172251" first="Lamana" last="Tapusoa"], Blue Springs
A 6-0, 205-pounder, Tapusoa is the No. 20 overall prospect in the updated 2023 rankings. He impressed a year ago as a sophomore when he rushed for 458 yards and 10 touchdowns in a limited role and could have a dominant season this fall. He runs with impressive power and quickness. He has received an early scholarship offer from Nevada, but it won't be his last.
3. [player_tooltip player_id="101701" first="Ramone" last="Green Jr"], Nixa
Green, a 5-9, 180-pounder who is ranked as the 25th-best prospect overall in the class, had a breakout season a year ago as a sophomore when he rushed for 1,300 yards and scored 20 touchdowns. His film shows great burst and balance that makes him difficult to stop. He has already topped 1,800 yards rushing in his first two seasons and he's not going to stop there.
4. [player_tooltip player_id="101685" first="Logan" last="Crockett"], Lamar
The No. 27 prospect in the updated Missouri 2023 rankings, Crockett is a 6-0, 195-pounder who capped off a strong sophomore season with a state championship and all-state honors. He rushed for 862 yards and 16 touchdowns on just 77 carries, a remarkable average of 11.2 yards per carry. As a sophomore. On a state championship team. He's a big, strong back with the speed to run away from defenders.
