1. [player_tooltip player_id="37528" first="Arlen" last="Harris Jr"], Lutheran-St. Charles
The No. 7 overall prospect in the Class of 2022, Harris is the son of former NFL running back Arlen Harris, who is the head coach at Lutheran-St. Charles and knows the position well. The younger Harris has been a dominant running back for the Cougars since he entered high school -- in three seasons he has rushed for 3,702 yards and scored 71 total touchdowns -- and the 5-foot-11, 205-pounder made an early verbal commitment to Stanford after drawing scholarship offers from 22 different schools from coast to coast.
2. [player_tooltip player_id="96148" first="Zahmari" last="Gary"], Raytown
Gary, the No. 23 prospect in Missouri in the Class of 2022, racked up 1,874 total yards (1,651 rushing, 223 receiving) and scored 22 total touchdowns, including two on kick returns, during a strong junior campaign. The solidly-built 5-7, 180-pounder received a scholarship offer from the University of Missouri in late June.
3. [player_tooltip player_id="171824" first="Jaylin" last="Carson"], Lutheran North
A 6-1, 200-pounder who is nicknamed "Tank" because of his running style, Carson is the No. 29 prospect in the senior class and is in line for a breakout senior season after two of North's other Division I running backs transferred to East St. Louis (Ill.) for their senior seasons. Carson reported early offers from Iowa State and Kansas and recently received an offer from Southern Illinois. If he puts together the kind of senior year that many expect, his recruiting could take off.
4. [player_tooltip player_id="37448" first="Wentric" last="Williams III"], Liberty
The No. 54 prospect in Missouri's Class of 2022, Williams was a first-team all-state running back a year ago when he rushed for 1,355 yards and scored 18 total touchdowns. He followed that up by winning the Missouri state wrestling championship (182 pounds) and helping his Liberty squad win the team state title. The 5-11, 195-pounder has yet to receive a scholarship offer, according to his Twitter account, which means he will likely be more motivated than ever to prove his doubters wrong. That is bad news for Liberty's opponents this fall.
5. [player_tooltip player_id="96147" first="Gerry" last="Marteen"], Battle
Marteen, ranked 64th in the Class of 2022, racked up 1,903 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns and scored twice on kickoff returns during an outstanding junior campaign. The 5-9, 185-pound excelled on the camp circuit this offseason, including running a 4.54 40-yard dash at one of the Lindenwood University Mega Camps, but has yet to receive his first scholarship offer.
Next five:
[player_tooltip player_id="172293" first="Derrick" last="Baker"], St. Louis University High
[player_tooltip player_id="96149" first="Jace" last="Reynolds"], Harrisonville
[player_tooltip player_id="37579" first="Kyle" last="Wuebbeling"], Holt
[player_tooltip player_id="96146" first="Dalton" last="Witherspoon"], Windsor
[player_tooltip player_id="96156" first="Hayden" last="Sigg"], Smithville
