RB [player_tooltip player_id="171824" first="Jaylin" last="Carson"] Lutheran North (No. 29)
Carson was the second-leading rusher a year ago in a Crusaders backfield that featured three Division I prospects: Ali Wells, Toriano Pride (Clemson commit) and Carson.
With Wells and Pride having transferred to East St. Louis, Ill., Carson figures to take advantage of a featured role. The Lutheran North standout, who is nicknamed "Tank" because of his build, ran for 420 yards, averaging 7.5 yards per carry, and scored seven touchdowns in six games last season.
TE [player_tooltip player_id="172296" first="Miles" last="Marshall"] Pembroke Hill (No. 34)
Marshall is among a deep and talented 2022 tight end group in Missouri that includes as many as 12 Division I prospects. Marshall, a 6-foot-5, 225-pounder who could end up on the defensive side at the next level, has seen his recruitment pick up recently with scholarship offers from Murray State and Southern Illinois.
OL [player_tooltip player_id="172006" first="Joshua" last="Anderson"] Westminster (No. 36)
Anderson, the son of former NFL offensive lineman Bennie Anderson, was a rising name on the recruiting scene this spring and summer. The 6-5, 285-pounder made a verbal commitment to Eastern Michigan on Monday.
DB [player_tooltip player_id="171843" first="Justus" last="Johnson"] CBC (No. 37)
A 6-1, 175-pounder, Johnson was limited to just three games as a junior because of an injury but has emerged this offseason after running the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds. Johnson, who recently picked up a scholarship offer from Murray State, will get to prove himself this fall against the Cadets' difficult schedule that includes East St. Louis (Ill.), De Smet, St. Louis University High and Chaminade, all teams with Division I wide receiver prospects.
ATH [player_tooltip player_id="37577" first="Jared" last="Rhodes"] Ladue (No. 40)
Rhodes has been a contributor for the Rams since he first walked through the doors of the high school as a freshman and will get to show what he can do as the guy as a senior. The 5-11, 200-pounder is a physical specimen who has already attracted scholarship offers from Navy and Indiana State.
QB [player_tooltip player_id="171825" first="Tre" last="Baker"] Lee's Summit North (No. 43)
The No. 1 quarterback in the Missouri Class of 2022 rankings, Baker became the first QB in the class to commit to a Division I school when he pledged to Abilene Christian several weeks ago. Lee's Summit North has an impressive collection of skill position talent, including Division I Class of 2025 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id="177938" first="Isaiah" last="Mozee"], and Baker could have a monster season this fall.
OL [player_tooltip player_id="177900" first="Keanon" last="McNally"] Kearney (No. 49)
McNally stands out whenever he's on the football field, and no matter who else joins him, because he is 6-10 and 285 pounds. He became a hot prospect in June and July when he received scholarship offers from Eastern Michigan, Wyoming, South Dakota and Tulane and then committed to Tulane on August 1, a few days after taking an unofficial visit to see the Green Wave.
ATH [player_tooltip player_id="177936" first="Mike" last="Haggerty"] St. Michael the Archangel (No. 57)
Haggerty is listed as a 6-4, 215-pound wide receiver and middle linebacker on his HUDL profile, but could end up as a tight end or defensive end at the next level. He recorded 31 receptions for 539 yards and five touchdowns a year ago as a junior and recently received an offer from Drake.
ATH [player_tooltip player_id="172240" first="Dalesean" last="Staley"] Blue Springs (No. 62)
Another talented Kansas City area athlete, Staley is a 6-1, 190-pounder who plays wide receiver and strong safety. He received scholarship offers from Northern Iowa and Northwest Missouri State before making a verbal commitment to Northern Iowa.
LB [player_tooltip player_id="171842" first="Kendall" last="Huston"] CBC (No. 66)
Huston had a breakout campaign a year ago when he recorded 20 tackles, six sacks and an interception in just six games, but he still has plenty to prove an an undersized (6-1, 190) hybrid linebacker/safety type. He doesn't have any reported offers yet, but his athleticism and versatility should attract the attention of Division I schools, especially if he puts a strong senior season together.
RB [player_tooltip player_id="172293" first="Derrick" last="Baker"] St. Louis University High (No. 68)
Baker had a breakout season as a sophomore at Affton High School when he rushed for 1,364 yards and scored 18 total touchdowns. But after transferring to St. Louis U. High for his junior season, he was limited to 106 yards on 21 carries in three games while being limited by an injury. He is a big, strong kid at 6-0 and 200 pounds and should have plenty of opportunities to make an impact this season with opponents having to deal with SLUH's trio of Division I wide receivers.
QB [player_tooltip player_id="103093" first="Luke" last="Johnston"] St. Louis University High (No. 87)
Johnston threw for 915 yards and 11 touchdowns in four games as a junior and should have a breakout campaign as a senior this fall. The Junior Billikens have a talented group of skill position players that include Baker, wide receivers [player_tooltip player_id="37522" first="Isaac" last="Thompson"] (Missouri commit), [player_tooltip player_id="99449" first="Chris" last="Brooks Jr"] (Yale commit) and [player_tooltip player_id="125255" first="Ryan" last="Wingo"] (2024 Division I prospect) along with 2023 tight end [player_tooltip player_id="103409" first="Zach" last="Ortwerth"].
