Missouri 2022 Rankings Update: Defensive linemen

The Missouri Class of 2022 football prospect rankings have been updated and there is plenty of movement with prospects in the rankings. Today we are going to take a look at some of the top defensive line prospects in the senior class. <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 18pt;"><em><strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/missouri/rankings/2022-rankings/">Click here to view the 2022 Rankings!</a></strong></em></span></p> There are 23 defensive linemen in the Class of 2022 rankings and 60 offensive linemen overall including the watch list. Today we are breaking down the top five and noting the next five. [player_tooltip player_id="37521" first="Tyson" last="Ford"], John Burroughs (Notre Dame)</strong> The No. 2 player in the updated Class of 2022 rankings for Missouri, Ford was the top player in the post-2021 season rankings several months ago. He is a strong and quick 6-foot-4, 260-pounder who dominates opposing offensive linemen at this level. Ford recorded 19 tackles and three sacks in five games as a junior after racking up 52 tackles and one sack as a sophomore. He committed to Notre Dame in January after racking up 23 scholarship offers from coast to coast, including powerhouse programs like LSU, Oklahoma and Georgia. <strong>2. [player_tooltip player_id="96233" first="DJ" last="Wesolak"], Boonville</strong> A 6-5, 240-pound edge rusher, Wesolak is ranked third overall in the updated Class of 2022 Missouri rankings. He's the kind of lightning quick and twitchy pass rusher that every team at every level is looking for. He has received 49 scholarship offers, according to Rivals.com, including from Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Penn State, Oklahoma, Oregon and USC. <strong>3. [player_tooltip player_id="37557" first="Marquis" last="Gracial"], St. Charles (Missouri)</strong> A 6-5, 295-pounder, Gracial is the No. 4 prospect in the updated Missouri Class of 2022 rankings and is the top-rated defensive tackle prospect. The big man recorded 29 tackles, three sacks and a fumble recovery in five games as a junior and showed his versatility by catching four passes for 56 yards and a touchdown. As a sophomore, he racked up 52 tackles and nine sacks. Gracial committed to the University of Missouri in May after receiving 26 offers, including from Alabama, Oklahoma, Penn State and Oregon among others. <strong>4. [player_tooltip player_id="37534" first="Domonique" last="Orange"], North Kansas City</strong> The No. 6 prospect in the updated Missouri Class of 2022 rankings, Orange is a 6-4, 300-pounder who ranks as the second-best defensive tackle prospect in the senior class in the Show-Me State. He has the strength to shock offensive linemen and the agility and quickness to get in the backfield in a few heartbeats. Rivals.com ranks Orange slightly above Gracial, though 247Sports ranks Gracial ahead of him. The North Kansas City standout has not committed to a college but has received 24 scholarship offers, including from Missouri, Ohio State, Iowa State, Oregon, Florida State and Texas. <strong>5. [player_tooltip player_id="99750" first="Ikenna" last="Ezeogu"], Blue Springs (Iowa State)</strong> The No. 15 prospect in Missouri in the Class of 2022, Ezeogu is the third-best defensive end behind Ford and Wesolak. The 6-5, 225-pounder, who also plays basketball, is able to use his quickness and agility to chase down quarterbacks and running backs.
