Braden Steely – Carroll – WR – 5’10″ 175 lbs
Steely made his noise on special teams to start the game and then continued to make plays throughout the game. Steely took the opening kickoff back 93-yards for a kickoff return for a TD. He showed great vision and speed to burst through and take it back. On offense, he was able to make a few key catches and extend drives. He showed he has great acceleration and the ability to make guys miss in the open field. If he can continue to make plays the Sophomore is going to put himself on the map immediately.
Brody Glenn Brody Glenn 6'2" | 180 lbs | WR Bishop Luers | 2022 State IN – Bishop Luers – WR – 6’1″ 175 lbs
Glenn looked absolutely fantastic. He was making contested-catch after contested-catch. His best play of the evening was back in the corner of the Endzone where he was able to go up and get the ball while coming down with a defender draped all over him. When he got up he let the defender know about it, too. Glenn is currently a 0-star recruit with a handful of minor offers from schools like Akron and Ball State. If he continues to make plays the junior is going to land a bunch more offers as the season ends.
CJ Davis CJ Davis 5'11" | 175 lbs | DB Ft. Wayne Northrop | 2023 State IN – Northrop – WR – 5’10″ 165 lbs
Davis was making his mark early and often. The slot WR was making tough catches over the middle until he finally broke one and opened up the offense. He caught a pass right over the middle, turned on the jets, and was gone for a long TD. The 92 yard TD was able to break the score tie for Northrop and take the lead. Davis is currently a 0-star recruit and doesn’t have any offers, but if the junior keeps performing like that he will get some offers before you know it.
Robert Koskie – Garrett – RB/LB – 5’10″ 180 lbs
Koskie did most of his damage on the ground. Koskie was constantly able to pick up chunks of yardage and even paydirt early on in the game. On his TD run, he was able to win by using the proper pad height. He lowered and embraced for impact, and because of his low center of gravity, he was able to bowl over the line for the TD. He was fed the ball early and often and looked up for the challenge. It’s week 1, but he’s going to make a name for himself if he keeps making plays like those.
Jakar Williams – New Haven – QB – 6’3″ 220 lbs
Williams is a big boy. He has an absolute cannon and can rip the ball it feels like a mile. He’s mobile and always a threat to run. He looks like a DE who plays QB. He’s able to make most throws and hit guys in stride. He’s not the best passer and could use some development in the field, but on Friday he was more than efficient. He got the ball where it needed to and when it needed to be there. Does he get recruited to play QB in college? Not sure. He has the size and tools but it depends on his senior year. If he keeps showing development and progress as a QB, he could land some offers to play QB at the next level.
