Emerging Linebackers Look to Dominate in 2021

<p id="E9" class="x-scope qowt-word-para-0"><span style="font-size: 18pt;"><em><strong><span id="E10" class="qowt-font1-Arial">W</span><span id="E11" class="qowt-font1-Arial">ith the 2021 season starting, I wanted to go in-depth about some emerging players that stock is rising for this season and that I believe will have break-out seasons in 2021. These players are all talented and have college level ability and skills. Nobody promotes more High School football prospects than Prep Redzone Florida!</span></strong></em></span></p>
<p id="E16" class="x-scope qowt-word-para-0"><em><strong><span id="E17" class="qowt-font1-Arial">Johnny Eaton, LB- Viera High</span></strong></em></p>
<p id="E18" class="x-scope qowt-word-para-0"><em><strong><span id="E19" class="qowt-font1-Arial">6’2 200lbs</span></strong></em></p>
<p id="E20" class="x-scope qowt-word-para-0"><span id="E21" class="qowt-font1-Arial">Eaton finished last season with a 118 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks. He’s a very versatile linebacker that shows a lot of range and covers a lot of ground all over the field, sideline to sideline backer that shows very good acceleration to the football, plays downhill and attacks the lanes, athleticism is very apparent on film. He’ll be one of the most productive linebackers this season. Currently holds one offer from Keiser University.</span></p>

<p id="E28" class="x-scope qowt-word-para-0"><span id="E29" class="qowt-font1-Arial">Redd is a first-team All-State selection, last season he registered 119 tackles, 13 for loss, 4.5 sacks, and </span><span id="E33" class="qowt-font1-Arial" style="font-size: 1rem;">1 int. Redd is a high-motor/effort player on every down. Physical player that fills the hole on run, show the ability to elude blockers and track the football, shows good closing burst (</span><span id="E34" class="qowt-font1-Arial" style="font-size: 1rem;">4.69 40</span><span id="E35" class="qowt-font1-Arial" style="font-size: 1rem;">) and acceleration. Smart player and student with a 3.8 GPA.</span></p>

<p id="E49" class="x-scope qowt-word-para-0"><span id="E50" class="qowt-font1-Arial">Mitchell is a very good linebacker prospect from Osceola, he’s a tackling machine and averaged over 14 tackles per game in 2020. He ended his Junior season registering 115 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, and a sack. Mitchell’s a very smart player (4.32 GPA) with very good instincts and flows fast (4.6 40) to the football, shows the ability to drop in coverage and play passing lanes and jump routes, read run quickly and shows no hesitation attacking downhill. Productive player that should be getting a lot more looks in 2021. Currently holds several small school offers.</span></p>

<p id="E64" class="x-scope qowt-word-para-0"><span id="E65" class="qowt-font1-Arial">Harwell is a first-team All-State linebacker for Powerhouse Lake Minneola, he had an outstanding Junior season tallying 114 tackles, 4 sacks, and 22 tackles for losses. Harwell is a throwback linebacker that plays with good instincts and technique, smart player that sniff plays out quickly, physical player that shows the ability to take on blocks and sheds getting to the ball carrier. He’s also an outstanding student with a 3.4 GPA. Very underrated recruit.</span></p>
