Desert Gems: Measurables & Analysis

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Since I began my Football Coaching Career in Arizona, I’ve always kept an eye on the Number of Talented players that come from the True “Sunshine” state of Arizona. Here are Some players that have caught my eye.</span> <b>Isaiah Robinson~WR/DB/Ret ℅ 22. Mountain Pointe Highschool,  Phoenix Az. 5’8 140. GPA 2.6. 4.52 40 yd dash.</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Speed in and out of breaks is excellent! Route Running is crisp. Has natural hands and a solid catch radius. Routinely makes contested catches. Has Competitive Spirit. Uses speed and quickness to get on top of Defenders in coverage. Also, Plays Defensive Back and Kick Returner. As a returner, shows good vision and burst to find a lane and sprint through it. Has earned the nickname “ICE” because he’s cold on the field! Natural Pass Catcher, Runs through Arm Tackles, Has Burst In and Out of Breaks, Runs Smooth Routes, Very Active Aggressive Run Blocker. As a Returner, Gets upfield quickly, Reads Blocks well, and is decisive when hitting the hole.  All-Around Team Player!</span> <b>Keiano Sotelo~DT/OC ℅ 23. Desert Ridge Highschool, Mesa Az. 5’8 180. </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">What he lacks in size, he makes up for with all-out effort! A Motor that never stops. Takes decent Pursuit Angles to the Football. Gains leverage on Bigger Offensive Lineman and Sheds Blocks to find the ball carrier. Has a Solid Burst which allows him to disrupt offense Routinely. Also, Plays Offensive Center. Really sets up nicely in Pass Pro. Is a Solid Route Runner, Does a good job at Top of Routes giving a Head and Shoulders Fake. Accelerates Fairly Quickly out of Breaks. Uses Frame to Wall Off Defenders in Traffic. Can work Inside or Outside. </span> <b>Andereya “Junior” Nsubuga~QB ℅ 23 Chandler Highschool, Chandler Az. 6’3 200. Posted 4.53 40yd dash. 11.01 100m dash.</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Great Height, Weight, Speed Combo. True Dual Threat! Has Solid Arm Strength. Drives the Deep Ball Over the Top of Defenders. In quick game, doesn’t hesitate and hits receivers in stride. Will make Off Platform Throws routine. Has Good Vision, Will Weave his way through the Defense. Is Fast with a Long Stride, Separates quickly from Defenders. Gets Shoulders Square and will run through Arm Tackles.
