With a month until the 2021 season, camps are wrapping up and players are continuing to receive offers. Here is a look at some of the most recent commitments.

Donovan Brown, Quince Orchard, WR, 6’3" 180 lbs, 2022

Commitment: Syracuse

Syracuse is getting big-time WR to add to their recruiting class. Donovan brings speed, and a natural ability to know where the QB needs him on broken plays. The speed shows in his route running where he rarely loses speed out of his breaks. This has made him difficult for opposing DBs to cover, no matter the coverage. Donovan is an under-the-radar, reliable WR that will continue to grow in stature during the 2021 season.

[player_tooltip player_id="90547" first="Amar" last="Thomas"], Wise, DE, 6’2" 232 lbs, 2022

Commitment: James Madison

James Madison adds an athletic pass-rusher who can play either as a hand-down DE or a stand-up OLB. Amar shows great explosion out of his stance, with the quickness to get outside to chase down RBs and QBs. This helps him easily split double-teams, or split the gaps vs zone blocking. Amar's athleticism, paired with an ability to quickly process, means his stock will continue to grow through the 2021 season.

[player_tooltip player_id="90603" first="Isaiah" last="West"], Georgetown Prep, RB, 6’1" 204 lbs, 2022

Commitment: Army (West Point)

[player_tooltip player_id="90603" first="Isaiah" last="West"] has been one of the breakout performers from the summer camp circuit. And, paired with his play on the field, made it obvious that he has FBS potential. Isaiah takes great angles on the ball carriers from the safety position, without being caught out of position. On offense, he is a playmaker from the slot/RB position. His speed makes him a threat on every play. His playmaking ability on both sides of the field makes him a fascinating weapon for the Army team over his college career.

[player_tooltip player_id="90532" first="Lavain" last="Scruggs"], Archbishop Spalding, DB, 6’3" 190 lbs, 2022

Commitment: Maryland

Lavain is a big-bodied safety, that can bring an immediate presence against the run for the Terps. For Spalding, he does a great job of being a physical presence in their secondary. When rolling down to the box, he does a good job of staying outside the end-man and forcing the RB into the defense. If he does have to chase down, he has the speed and effort to make the play. This combination gives him a good chance to be a special teams contributor early in his career for the Terps.
