Josh Anderson, QB, 6’1″ 190, Clayton HS. Josh was able to move the offense on a few series with a combination of short accurate passes and the ability to run to avoid being sacked.
Will Coats Will Coats 6'4" | 285 lbs | OL Clayton | 2023 State NC , T, 6’3″ 285, Clayton HS. Will displayed good footwork and was solid on pass-blocking, protecting his quarterback. He uses his size and strength to control the defender. Will Coats Will Coats 6'4" | 285 lbs | OL Clayton | 2023 State NC is the anchor and leader on the offensive line.
Nadir Simmons, RB, 5’11″ 190, Clayton HS. Nadir is a quick, slashing runner who ran strong between the tackles to gain yards. He was consistent in gaining tough yards throughout the game.
The Clayton offensive unit had a tough night and was not able to generate much offense throughout the game.
Michael Dipasquale, RB, 5’10″ 190, Wake Forest HS. Michael displayed his ability to run inside between the tackles to gain yardage. He displayed the speed to run outside and accelerate past defenders, scoring twice. Michael Dipasquale is a strong runner who has good balance and vision to find openings to gain yards. He is the dominant player of the offensive unit.
Dominic Williams, QB, 6’3″ 205, Wake Forest HS. Dominic did a good job of handing the ball of to the running backs along with a few short passes when needed. The highlight of his performance was when he faked a kick and threw a short pass for score. Dominic Williams did a good job of directing the run-oriented offensive unit.
Matthew DeJesus, TE, 6’1″ 220, Wake Forest HS. Matthew displayed the ability to block and control the defender on the running plays. He did a good job of using his body to shield off defender to make the catch, scoring on one series. Matthew DeJesus runs well in the open field.
The most exciting offensive play of the game occurred when Nigel Lucas Nigel Lucas 6'1" | 175 lbs | DB Wake Forest | 2023 State NC , CB, 6’1″ 175, Wake Forest HS returned the opening kick-off for a score. That play was the start of a dominant offensive performance by the offensive unit.
