Ashdown Phenom Easter Commits to Arkansas

When Sam Pittman was named head coach at the University of Arkansas, him and his coaching staff began to focus on the in-state talent. New tight end coach Dowell Loggains was in on the recruitment of Ashdown tight end and credit must go out to him on his work bringing in the talented tight end. With Easter’s commitment today, Arkansas has secured the commitment of the number one player in the Prep RedZone Arkansas 2023 Prospect Rankings. The Razorbacks’ coaching staff has already secured the commitment of Clarendon 2022 tight earlier in the summer. Adding now to the mix is going to give opposing SEC defensive coordinators nightmares. Both are tall players with Courtney being 6-6 and Easter being 6-5 and both have the potential to be red zone targets in the future. Easter does everything the staff at Ashdown ask of him. The attention Easter receives from opposing defenses allows the Panthers to get creative. Quarterback throws the ball well and does a great job of finding Easter and Jaxon Jester. Easter can play all over the for the Panthers whether it be split out wide or as a blocker along the line of scrimmage. The Arkansas Razorbacks coaching staff can be pleased that the in-state recruiting efforts are working. Talented players are not leaving the state in the numbers they were a few years ago. The state of Arkansas has produced a number of talented tight ends; Hunter Henry, DJ Williams, and Jeremy Sprinkle to name a few. It is not surprising to see the Razorbacks start to secure the commitments of more talented tight ends that are rising through the ranks. Easter still has another year to develop, and he has done nothing but improve every year. The 2021 season has the potential to be a strong for Easter and the Ashdown Panthers. Ashdown plays plenty of talented teams like Joe T. Robinson and Nashville and those matchups will be worth watching this season. Congratulations go out to and the Arkansas coaching staff.
