All-Montgomery County Preseason Team (Defense)

The Season is coming up fast. This county is filled with defensive talent and these guys are the best of the best. <strong>Defensive Line</strong> Daniel Santos Magruder- Santos is a great pass rusher that uses his hands extremely well. He is able to shed blockers with ease. Expect Santos to have multiple big games this season. [player_tooltip player_id="90575" first="Bryce" last="Ricks"] Quince Orchard- Ricks is a traditional nose tackle. He is very big and very good at clogging up run gaps. Ricks is a great run stuffer with great play recognition. Expect Ricks to stuff any runs over the middle this season. [player_tooltip player_id="172220" first="Jaylen" last="Harvey"] Quince Orchard- Harvey is a special talent, he holds offers from Boston College and Maryland and he’s only a Sophomore. He is an all-around stud at edge, he sets the edge extremely well, he plays perfect contain, and he also has the ability to get after the passer. Expect him to break out even more with a full fall season coming up. [player_tooltip player_id="90538" first="Amir" last="Frye"] Walter Johnson- Frye is one of the most underrated players in the county. He is an athletic edge rusher with the ability to run down quarterbacks. Not only is he athletic but he is explosive off the ball and he also has a plethora of pass rush moves. Frye will be big for Walter Johnson this season. Seydou Konate Magruder- Santos’s counterpart may not be as flashy but he is still a very good player in his own right. Konate is very physical and uses his strength to ragdoll blockers. Expect to see Konate throwing blockers around this season. <strong>Linebackers</strong> Stephen Forbin Blake- Forbin is a modern-day 3 down linebacker. He excels in pass coverage and has tremendous range. His versatility will give Blake a lot of options this Fall. [player_tooltip player_id="175193" first="King" last="Tshiama"] Quince Orchard- Tshiama is a versatile backer that can line up at all 3 levels on defense. He can line up at edge, at off-ball backer, and even in the slot. He has great instincts and always seems to be in the right spot to make a play. He will play a multitude of roles for Quince Orchard this season. [player_tooltip player_id="175191" first="Martavian" last="Davis"] Quince Orchard- Davis is one of the key pieces of Quince Orchard’s run defense. He is very good in his run fits and makes tackles at and behind the line of scrimmage. He also has the ability to run sideline to sideline. He will have another solid season this fall. Tylek Bright Seneca Valley- Bright is a defensive playmaker. He constantly is making plays in the backfield. He can also drop back into coverage and make plays in the pass game as well. Expect him to make a lot of plays for Seneca Valley. <strong>Defensive Backs</strong> [player_tooltip player_id="90593" first="Octavian" last="Smith"] Paint Branch- Smith is an all-around athlete and that is no different when he’s playing corner. He is a ball hawk with good ball-playing skills. Smith is Paint Branch’s best corner so expect him to have to do double duty again this season. [player_tooltip player_id="155661" first="Jalen" last="Huskey"] Quince Orchard- Huskey is a great cover corner. He excels in all phases of the game he can play man, zone, and press. Huskey will be big for QO especially when they play dangerous teams like Northwest. [player_tooltip player_id="90631" first="Darius" last="Lorfils"] Northwest- Lorfils is the best corner in the county and is one of the biggest sleepers in the whole country. He is a shutdown corner that also has the ability to press. His footwork and technique are elite and ready for the next level. He is also a great ballhawk so he will come down with balls that can change the game. Expect him to put on a show before he becomes an impact player at Bowling Green. [player_tooltip player_id="90521" first="Bryce" last="Barnes"] Quince Orchard- Barnes is more of a hybrid type safety that has the ability to play in the box. He is good in contested ball situations which allows him to cover bigger receivers. He has the ability to play as a nickel backer or as a safety. Expect him to do both for QO this season. [player_tooltip player_id="90517" first="Steven" last="Sannieniola"] Quince Orchard- Sannienola is more of a traditional ball-hawking deep safety. He has great instincts and when you pair that with his great ball skills he is a turnover machine. Expect Sannienola to come down with loads of picks this season.
