6A is without a doubt one of the toughest divisions in Mississippi high school football. To kick off the season, we have created our preseason all-state offense team. These players will look to be the best of the best in 2021. Check out who stands where now!
<strong>QUARTERBACKS</strong>
[player_tooltip player_id="104068" first="Kabe" last="Barnett"] | Oak Grove
Winning a state championship last season, Barnett checks in at the first team spot for all quarterbacks entering the 2021 season. Barnett’s athleticism and throwing ability will provide Oak Grove with a strong chance to be repeat champions this upcoming year. Lists offers from almost every in-state junior college.
[player_tooltip player_id="104367" first="Zach" last="Wilcke"] | Hernando
The Southern Mississippi commit will look to lead one of the best aerial assault offenses in all of Mississippi. Wilcke has a big, accurate arm that is capable of completing any throw possible. Hernando will lean on the senior gunslinger for what should be a special season.
[player_tooltip player_id="108930" first="Vic" last="Sutton"] | Madison Central
Although he only played in limited time last year, it’s hard not to include junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="108930" first="Vic" last="Sutton"] on this list. Sutton has been a big time offseason riser and will look to start the entire season this year. As talented as Madison Central is on paper, Sutton could elevate this team into a deep playoff run.
<strong>RUNNING BACKS</strong>
[player_tooltip player_id="104151" first="Branson" last="Robinson"] | Germantown
The Georgia commit would most likely make any all state offense team in any state. Elite speed, change of direction, and power to his game. Robinson will carry the load for Germantown and will most likely be an early contributor at the next level for the Bulldogs. Look for him to be in serious contention for 6A player of the year as well.
[player_tooltip player_id="106164" first="D’Mariun" last="Perteet"] | South Panola
South Panola turns out a good running back what seems like every other season. Perteet is the next in line. As a sophomore, Perteet showed that he was as talented as any back in the state. Big season ahead for a junior that has put a lot of work in in the offseason. Lists offers from Arkansas and Arizona.
[player_tooltip player_id="104155" first="Jamari" last="Thompson"] | Pearl
At 6’2" 230, Thompson is one of the most physically impressive backs in 6A. He rushed for over 1200 yards last season and will be leaned on heavily this year at Pearl. With his strength and breakaway speed, this guy could have an even bigger year than most are projecting. Lists offers from Southeastern Louisiana, Morgan State, and many of the local JuCos.
<strong>WIDE RECEIVERS</strong>
[player_tooltip player_id="104206" first="Jarnorris" last="Hopson"] | Horn Lake
The Mississippi State commit is one of the most explosive playmakers in all of 6A. Hopson has great speed in the open field that allows him to take a short screen pass all the way to the house. In addition, he has some of the best routes and hands overall. Dynamic player that will be an opposing defensive coordinator’s nightmare this year.
[player_tooltip player_id="104208" first="Tyrell" last="Pollard"] | Oak Grove
The senior wideout had over 1000 yards and 16 touchdowns last year. Pollard is one of the most productive receivers in Mississippi and pairs up well with quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="104068" first="Kabe" last="Barnett"]. Throw it in Pollard’s general area and it is a guaranteed catch. Looking for him to repeat his success he had last year. Lists offers from Troy, Western Kentucky, and UAB among others.
[player_tooltip player_id="104212" first="Deon" last="Hardin"] | Biloxi
Hardin is one of the fastest receivers in the senior class of Mississippi. Last year, he was extremely productive for Biloxi and was the go to big play guy when the team needed a quick score. Hardin is shifty in the open field and can out run any defender that lines up across. Lists offers from local JuCos as well as Mount Union.
[player_tooltip player_id="108979" first="Isaiah" last="Spencer"] | Madison Central
Spencer has been an offseason riser who narrowly beat out several other candidates for the fourth spot on the all state team list. As a sophomore, Spencer had limited production but flashed abilities that can’t be coached. Looking for him to showcase his talents in the regular season like he did this offseason. Has interest from Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
<strong>OFFENSIVE LINE</strong>
[player_tooltip player_id="108897" first="Zay" last="Alexander"] | Tupelo
A mammoth of a human being, [player_tooltip player_id="108897" first="Zay" last="Alexander"] stands at 6’7" 350 and looks every bit of it. Alexander was one of the most dominant tackles in all of 6A as a sophomore and will look to continue that as a junior. Throughout the offseason, he has added offers from Texas, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Oregon, and Florida among many others.
[player_tooltip player_id="104388" first="Klabron" last="Pollard"] | Oak Grove
Pollard is a mean and nasty offensive lineman that doesn’t come around very often. The senior from Oak Grove is one of the state’s best run blockers and colleges around the nation have taken notice of that. Lists offers from Arkansas State, Colorado, ECU, Houston, and Southern Miss among many.
[player_tooltip player_id="104400" first="Robert" last="Cook"] | D’Iberville
Another nasty run blocker, Cook had a big season last year paving the way for D’Iberville. Cook has a naturally strong upper body and a motor that runs hot. Lists offers from Central Arkansas, North Alabama, and local JuCos.
[player_tooltip player_id="118961" first="Connor" last="Foy"] | Pearl
The Alcorn State commit is one of the best true centers in 6A. Foy has good bend in his lower body and comes off the ball hot. A nasty run blocker and tenacious pass protector, it is hard not to love what Foy brings to the table.
[player_tooltip player_id="108896" first="Luke" last="Rogers"] | Brandon
As a sophomore, Rogers started on the offensive line for Brandon. He has camped well this offseason and has shown a ton of growth in the weight room. Looking for him to dominate this year like he did last. Lists offers from Central Arkansas and Southern Miss.
