5A is deep with offensive talent this year. Watch for these guys to light up scoreboards statewide!
<strong>QUARTERBACKS</strong>
[player_tooltip player_id="108931" first="Kaden" last="Irving"] | Gautier
The Ole Miss baseball commit showed he was one of the best quarterbacks in 5A last season. The rising junior threw for over 2400 yards and 15 TDs in his first season starting, and had the athleticism to put in work on the ground as well. Gautier just made the shift to the air raid offense, so watch for Irving to light it up again in 2021.
<strong>Kyreek Murray</strong> | Natchez
The senior quarterback may have the most impressive physical attributes of any passer in 5A. Murray has a huge arm and is able to sling the ball deep on any given play. He’s also a threat in the running game as a powerful and strong runner. Looking for him to lead a talented Natchez squad to a big year.
[player_tooltip player_id="112388" first="Eli" last="Anderson"] | Neshoba Central
A three year starter, Anderson has been nothing but consistent over his career. Last season, Auburn signee Jarquez Hunter was the star of the show, but everything points towards Anderson being given the keys this year. With the addition of several wide outs, watch for Anderson to cap off an impressive high school career with a playoff run. Committed to Mississippi Gulf Coast.
<strong>RUNNING BACKS</strong>
[player_tooltip player_id="104153" first="Cameron" last="Young"] | West Point
Totaling at over 1500 yards and 25 touchdowns, there was absolutely no stopping Young last season. The state runner up tailback has a violent running style and can take any rush to the house. West Point historically always has a good back or two, but Young could be in conversation for one of the best. Lists offers from EMCC and Coahoma.
[player_tooltip player_id="143001" first="Jerrell" last="Boyd"] | Holmes County Central
Boyd had over 1000 total yards last season and is a true 3 down back. He has great burst in the open field and can see holes open up before it even happens. In the passing game, Boyd is a reliable receiver capable of lining up in the slot or running routes out of the backfield. Love his versatility. Lists offers from Austin Peay and many local JuCos.
<strong>WIDE RECEIVERS</strong>
[player_tooltip player_id="106165" first="Ayden" last="Williams"] | Ridgeland
Williams had over 750 yards receiving last year as a sophomore. His length and athleticism are evident on the field. This is a guy that knows how to release smoothly at the line of scrimmage and catch the ball at the highest point. Expecting another dominant year as a junior. Lists offers from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Oregon, and Florida among others.
[player_tooltip player_id="108978" first="Mike" last="Williams"] | Natchez
Another highly productive sophomore, Williams checks in on an all-state list for his first time. Williams is a natural playmaker with the speed to score from anywhere. Love his ability to make people miss in space as well. Currently lists no offers, but expect that to change soon.
[player_tooltip player_id="142996" first="Jordan" last="Martin"] | Lake Cormorant
The Lake Cormorant product is used as the explosive playmaker in this offense. Martin will line up all across the field and produce from anywhere. He has great speed to open things up and is an elusive return man as well. Lists offers from UT Martin, Marshall, and Coahoma.
[player_tooltip player_id="112389" first="Ja’Naylon" last="Dupree"] | Neshoba Central
A recent transfer to Neshoba Central, Dupree brings a ton of speed with him to the slot. The former Philadelphia wide out is explosive with the ball in his hands and is one of the state’s best athletes overall. Watching for him to develop some quick chemistry with [player_tooltip player_id="112388" first="Eli" last="Anderson"] and produce at a high level. Lists offers from Southern Miss and Navy.
<strong>OFFENSIVE LINEMEN</strong>
[player_tooltip player_id="106163" first="Malik" last="Ellis"] | Laurel
The rising junior tackle has been playing since he was a freshman. Ellis has some of the best feet in the class and has the body type to become a future starting college tackle. He plays his best ball in pass protection, but is a mauler in the run game as well. Lists offers from Mississippi State, Florida State, and Oregon among others.
[player_tooltip player_id="104386" first="Bryson" last="Hurst"] | Gautier
Hurst has been one of the most highly recruited tackles in Mississippi. With his team going to a new offense, look for his skillset to continue to grow. He is a mean and physical tackle capable of playing in any modern day offense. Lists offers from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Auburn, Kentucky, and Oregon among others.
[player_tooltip player_id="104401" first="Christopher" last="Lanney"] | Cleveland Central

[player_tooltip player_id="104391" first="Markel" last="Bell"] | Cleveland Central
Another Cleveland Central product, [player_tooltip player_id="104391" first="Markel" last="Bell"] finds himself as yet another massive offensive lineman. He and Lanney share many of the same qualities, but Bell may be even more powerful in the run game. Two great OL on the same line will cause trouble for folks. Lists offers from Delta State, Eastern Kentucky, and many local JuCos.
[player_tooltip player_id="143006" first="Marlique" last="Fleming"] | Holmes County Central
