<strong>DEFENSIVE LINE</strong>

The Alabama commit has been on these kinds of lists since before he could remember. Elite power, strength, agility, and bend to his game will make him a future NFL draft pick. One more season left to dominate at Columbia and it should be a good one.

As a sophomore, Brown began to turn heads around the country. The young edge rusher has a great get off and is explosive in the open field. He has powerful and heavy hands that allow him to beat any offensive lineman in 4A. Lists offers from Florida, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Florida State among others.

A two way player, Lewis could have made either offensive or defensive list for us. Lewis is a dominant outside rush player who uses his speed and agility to win his matchups. He has a variety of pass rush moves and bends well off the edge. Lists offers from Arkansas State, Coastal Carolina, Louisiana Lafayette, and Middle Tennessee among others.

Cole has been no stranger to having his name out. This has been a guy that has produced at a high level for a while now. Cole is a naturally strong and tough player who can shed double teams and be a true force against the run. As a pass rusher, he shows a good bull rush move to knock guards into the quarterback. <strong>LINEBACKERS</strong>

The Mississippi State commit is one of the more physically impressive linebackers in 4A. Moore has great size and athleticism for the position and can play either outside or inside backer. He can blitz well off the edge to rush the passer or drop back into shallow zones to play the pass. Well rounded player set to have a big season before heading to Starkville.

An inside backer, Allen has incredible arm length to be disruptive in passing windows. In addition, he is a force against the run and can use his speed to chase down any ball carrier on the field. Allen is a typical modern day backer with tons of upside to him. Lists offers from Louisiana Monroe and many local JuCos.

Outside of DL [player_tooltip player_id="104418" first="Jaheim" last="Oatis"], Anderson is one of Columbia’s best pass rushers and run stoppers. He has great length in his arms and has the athleticism to play in space. Anderson has a well refined stack and shed technique that helps him get off blocks with ease. Jordan Gowdy | West Lauderdale
The lone junior on the linebacking list, Gowdy had quite the season last year as a sophomore. He over 6 sacks from the inside linebacker spot and showed he could play in coverage as well. Really productive player who a lot of teams are beginning to take notice of.
<strong>DEFENSIVE BACKS</strong>

A physical force at safety, [player_tooltip player_id="104529" first="Koye" last="Hardaway"] checks in on the list as one of 4A’s most dominat DBs. Hardaway plays well in coverage and can bait quarterbacks into easy mistakes, or he can step up in the box and deliver a blow to a ball carrier. He’s one of the state’s biggest sleepers, but that should change this season. Lists offers from East Central, Northwest, and Coahoma.

The Southern Miss commit could have easily made the offensive team, but finds his home here. Bell is one of the most versatile athletes in 4A and can truly do it all. He has great size and speed for the position and knows how to read and diagnose plays quickly. Bell covers ground well and has exceptional ball skills.

Townsend flashed last season as a sophomore. He looked like one of the best young DBs in the entire state. The rising junior has elite speed, ball skills, and judgement of the ball in the air. He also isn’t afraid to step up and make a big open field tackle. Only a matter of time before colleges start to notice the Pontotoc product.
