2023 Player Rankings: Newcomers

We just updated the player rankings and several players were added to the rankings.  Some of the new players that were added had strong performances on the field during the Spring Season.  A few of the new players had impressive performances at Prospect Camps during the summer.  The seven players listed have joined the player rankings: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="154603" first="Lex" last="Thomas"], QB, 5’11" 170, Heritage HS</strong>.  Lex put up some big numbers during the Spring Season where he led his team to the JV Conference Championship.  [player_tooltip player_id="154603" first="Lex" last="Thomas"] had impressive performances at several Prospect Camps.  The highlight of his camp performances were on display at the NC State University Prospect Camp.  Lex has a strong passing arm and is an accurate passer.  The performance led to him receiving an offer from NC State University and he has made a verbal commitment to the school.  Lex has prepared himself to lead the varsity offensive unit during the upcoming season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="144922" first="Sincere" last="Baines"], RB, 5’10" 170, Jack Britt HS</strong>.  Sincere quickly finds openings and accelerates past defenders in the open field to gain yards.  He does not go down after initial contact is made.  [player_tooltip player_id="144922" first="Sincere" last="Baines"] is expected to continue his strong performances on the field during the upcoming season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="50902" first="Jacob" last="Deller"], WR, 6’0" 175, Charlotte Catholic HS</strong>.  Jacob runs good pass routes and separates from the defender to make the catch.  He has the ability to accelerate past defenders in the open field to gain big yardage.  [player_tooltip player_id="50902" first="Jacob" last="Deller"] is expected to play at a high level during the upcoming season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="161072" first="Shawn" last="Burton Jr"]. DL, 6’4" 275, Cary HS</strong>.  Shawn displays good technique and upper-body strength to shed blockers to stop the play.  He is becoming a leader on the defensive line and is expected continue the performance during the upcoming season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="136320" first="Langston" last="Davis"], DB, 5’10" 150, Middle Creek HS</strong>.  Langston displays good reaction to the ball, covers quickly to make the tackle.  [player_tooltip player_id="136320" first="Langston" last="Davis"] is very active on the field and is expected to continue that level of play during the upcoming season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="173283" first="Chase" last="Christopher"], LB, 6’1" 210, Holly Springs HS</strong>.  Chase displays speed and runs well in open space to stop the runner.  He has good technique and lateral movement on the field.  [player_tooltip player_id="173283" first="Chase" last="Christopher"]’s performance on the field during the upcoming season should move him up in future player rankings. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="144639" first="Vincent" last="Jordan"], ATH, 5’11" 180, Weddington HS</strong>.  Vincent plays multiple positions for his team.  He runs good pass routes and makes catches in traffic as a wide receiver.  He reads the play and closes quickly to stop the ball carrier while playing linebacker.  [player_tooltip player_id="144639" first="Vincent" last="Jordan"] is expected to excel at multiple positions during the upcoming season.
