Trenton Salisbury Trenton Salisbury 5'10" | 185 lbs | ATH Wichita Northwest | 2023 State KS – Wichita Northwest, 5’10”, 185, WR
With the Grizzlies graduating their leading receiver from last season, Salisbury could potentially take over the No. 1 role this year. Salisbury had a limited role in Northwest’s offense as a sophomore but managed to bring in nine receptions for 120 yards, averaging a solid 13.3 yards per catch. He’s had time this summer to build chemistry with Geremiah Moore Geremiah Moore 5'10" | 190 lbs | ATH Wichita Northwest | 2022 State KS , as the two should connect on several big plays this fall. Trenton is currently the 14th ranked wide out in the class but look for him to climb the rankings in the next update.
Brant Wilson Brant Wilson 6'0" | 165 lbs | WR Basehor-Linwood | 2023 State KS – Basehor-Linwood, 5’11”, 160, WR
Wilson is a wide out that came on strong towards the end of last year. During his sophomore campaign he started the last four games of the season and hauled in 15 passes for 168 yards and one touchdown. The Bobcats will need Wilson to carry that momentum into the ’21 season with their leading receiver from last year transferring from the program. Look for Wilson to be another junior wide out that could become his team’s No. 1 option in the passing game.
Angel Lopez Angel Lopez 6'2" | 290 lbs | OL Remington | 2023 State KS – Remington, 6’2, 280, OL
Lopez may be slept on because he comes from a small school, but don’t sleep on his game. He is arguably one of the best up-and-coming offensive line prospects in the 1A ranks. Angel has been motivated to get his name out in the recruiting world, and this summer he took a step in the right direction. He competed against quality talent while attending camps at Kansas State and Bethel College. Lopez is looking poised to perform at a high level during his junior campaign.
Mason Thrush Mason Thrush 6'3" | 280 lbs | OL Maize | 2023 State KS – Maize, 6’3”, 275, OL
The 149th ranked prospect in the class is one to keep an eye on this season. Thrush didn’t see the varsity field much as a sophomore, but he looks to become a starter as a junior. The offensive line prospect brings collegiate ready size, and versatility to the table. There could be times this season where we see Thrush fill in at guard or tackle. He’s trained hard this offseason, and even received a camp invitation from Southern Methodist University. He’ll be a prospect with something to prove this fall.
Michael Canseco Michael Canseco 5'7" | 145 lbs | ATH Olathe North | 2023 State KS – Olathe North, 5’7”, 150, ATH
The Eagles have some major fire power on offense with Palmer, Parish, and Love returning. But there is another player on the Eagles’ roaster that can make their offense even more dynamic. Canseco is a speedy prospect that can be moved around all over the field. The versatile playmaker has earned himself a starting role with the summer he’s had. He looked great in North’s team camp in June, making plays down the field and showing off his quickness on outside runs. Canseco is ready to put people on notice this season.
Malachi Rogers Malachi Rogers 6'0" | 180 lbs | ATH Wellington | 2023 State KS – Wellington, 6’0”, 180, QB
When you see Rogers this season, his appearance will look slightly different from last year. That’s because the signal caller has taken his talents south of Wichita and transferred to Wellington High School. The Crusaders are getting a talented dual-threat quarterback that was an All-City League Honorable Mention selection as a sophomore. He is sure to make an immediate impact and could help the Crusaders rebound after a 3-6 2020 season. They’ll be a team not to be taken lightly this year.
