Defensive Spotlight
Kolani Masunu Kolani Masunu 6'0" | 275 lbs | DL Bellevue | 2023 State WA , DL, 5’11″ 270lbs, Bellevue ’23
Masunu is one of the top ranked 2023 defensive linemen in Washington, and should see some recruiting attention soon, assuming he continues along the same trajectory. He flashes quickness of the snap with a solid initial strike to win off the LOS or knock back offensive linemen. He possesses a strong lower half with solid power as his bull-rush was his most effective technique to disrupt plays in the backfield. He holds good position versatility along the DL at the high school level, and can improve flexibility and explosiveness as he continues to mature. He flashed strength at the POA as a tackler and holds strong potential going forward. Masunu should have a big role on the Bellevue defense this fall, and will be an intriguing prospect to watch and follow as he develops.

Offensive Spotlight
Payne Plaster Payne Plaster 5'9" | 175 lbs | RB Payne Plaster | 2022 State WA , ATH, 5’9″ 175lbs, White River ’22
Plaster is a key player for White River and their swiss army knife type of guy. He does a bit of everything for White River and does a great job filling needed roles. He does his best work as a ball carrier as he possesses solid vision and shows a nice burst through opening holes. He has tremendous balance with the ability to break and bounce off tackles as he has numerous plays on film where he turns 5 yard losses into first downs. Plaster flashes top end speed for potential big play ability, and is quick along the edges. He shown the ability to get shifty in space and make opponents miss, and is a solid all-around athlete. He plays DB for Bellevue as well and also got to throw the ball a little bit last season when they needed him to. He was awarded “2nd Team all-League RB” and is still looking for that first offer. He projects as a DIII level talent right now with room to grow his stock this season.
