This week’s spotlight features one of the top RB’s in the state and a big sleeper from Shadle Park. Both of which are still searching for their first offer. Here’s a look at the offensive and defensive twitter players of the week:
Offensive Spotlight
Dylan Carson Dylan Carson 6'0" | 195 lbs | RB Marysville-Pilchuck | 2022 State WA , RB, 6’0″ 195lbs, Marysville-Pilchuck ’22
Carson is a big time back that projects to have a breakout senior campaign. He comes off a strong short junior season by rushing for 911 yards and 14 TD’s. He shows a nice initial burst and hits the hole with a purpose. Carson’s vision is clutch in his game, as he possesses excellent vision in narrow spaces to burst through small gaps to spring loose. He often lines up in a 3-point stance in the backfield, and flashes excellent lateral agility along the LOS to make initial opponents miss, frequently turning plays that should be losses into solid gains. He shows a good COD to make opponents miss in space as well and possesses good top end speed to finish big runs. Carson displays solid balance after contact and between the tackles, and brings good physicality to the table with a nice pad level at the point of contact. Definite big play threat heading into the 2021 season, and is still waiting on his first offer. He holds a 3.9 GPA and is part of the National Honors Society as a student as well.

Defensive Spotlight
Liam Johnston, DB, 6’0″ 185lbs, Shadle Park ’22
Johnston is a big time sleeper to take notice of, as he was a major asset on both sides of the ball for Shadle Park. He possesses excellent athleticism all-around with good position versatility to translate to the next level. He can line up and produce as a FS, SS, WR, KR and even line up as a LB in the box and make plays. He displays good closing speed and eats up ground well in run support and holds a big striking ability when he can get a clean shot on opponents. He is strong at the POA and should be an identified threat on film to game plan against. He flashes nice instincts as a DB as he consistently flies to the ball. Johnston has solid range and speed with the ability to roam the field and make plays. He has also shown the ability to make plays behind the LOS on outside runs as he processes it so quick. He holds good ball skills all around and is a very dynamic player for Shadle Park, and is another player to get on your radar.
