Prep Redzone looks at a few dozen players from the New Jersey Super Conference that you should watch out for this upcoming season. The majority of these players either have offers, earned all-league, all-region, or all-state honors, or contributed on the varsity level last season.

Patscher had an impressive junior year season campaign in 2020. He made 64 total tackles (13 solo) with 14 tackles for a loss. Patscher is among the best on this list for hand usage. I also like the way he speeds up to the ball carrier when making a tackle. Patscher shows some explosiveness and shoots through the gap with impressive quickness. He attacks blocks with a consistent base and balance. Patscher is a sleeper at the defensive tackle position and will be ranked during the next update

It wouldn’t surprise me if White had his position changed from offensive tackle to offensive guard once he gets to Rutgers. He’s a powerful blocker and does a superb job of staying low in the blocks.

During the 2020 season, he completed 116-out-of-180 passes for 1,361 yards, 12 touchdowns, and four interceptions. He primarily lines up in the shotgun so it’s hard to get a read on how good his footwork is and quickness in his set-up. His touchdown-to-interception ration is excellent. He’s poised in the pocket and shows good timing with his passes, often leading his receivers. He’ll need to work a little bit more on his accuracy and releasing the ball a little quicker.

[player_tooltip player_id="28004" first="Dashawn" last="Lawton"]/ATH/2022
Lawton is an intriguing prospect that I’ve evaluated during a couple of 7v7 tournaments. In those cases, he made impact plays from the cornerback position. Lawnton is a little undersized, but he’s feisty and highly competitive. He is also an impact player at the wide receiver position. Lawton caught 23 passes for 506 yards and five touchdowns last season. There’s a good chance of him being ranked as a wide receiver during when the rankings get updated.
