Continue ReadingWhile so many recruiting services and fan websites are consumed with gravitating toward to star-rated prospects, we have – for many decades – put the focus on those athletes who aren’t on the radar and haven’t received the attention that those “no-brainers” have been getting for years.
Our objective is to see more football prospects at camps, combines, 7-on-7 events, practices and games than any other source.
Going to special teams showcases and attending line camps, which are not deemed “sexy” to those who follow the sport, is what has long separated us from anyone else who does it. Knowing about 4-and-5 stars football prospects is easy – because they are all over the internet. Athletes who nobody knows about need to be watched live.
Recruiting is not hard. But getting out and seeing thousands and thousands of prospects and projecting what many could be in the near future is the toughest thing you can do.
THE GIUSTO FILE
Mikey Giusto
POSITION: DL
CLASS: 2023
SCHOOL: Naples Gulf Coast
HEIGHT: 6-0
WEIGHT: 240
HEAD COACH: Todd Nichols
WHAT ARE COACHES MISSING: What we lack in today’s society are throwback football player. Athletes who not only put in the grind during the off-season, but those who maximize their talents – in and out of the classroom.
What has also disappeared through the years is dedication and getting the job done – while nobody is watching.
Mikey Giusto is certainly a football talent who could have played in any generation. His talent, work ethic on the football field and in the classroom has given him huge opportunities with two years left.
No matter what camps or events he attends, this is someone who stands out. His technique is sound and passion for the game is unmatched – and colleges are starting to find that out.
While going to camps, showcases and other things are always good for media and fan exposure, nothing is a substitute for getting it done live in a game when everything counts.
