One of the biggest 7-on-7 tournaments in the state of Arkansas will be taking place at Shiloh Christian High School and Fayetteville High School Wednesday and Thursday. The state of Arkansas is going to be well represented in this tournament with a number of talented prospects seeing action this week. We are going to examine some players that have the potential to have big performances this week.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75133" first="Eli" last="Wisdom"]-Quarterback-Shiloh Christian-2023</strong>
Starting off with the host for this tournament. Shiloh Christian quarterback has already accomplished a great deal in his high school career. Wisdom has led the Saints to a state championship. All the while having a strong arm and being able to move around good enough in the pocket to get the ball to his wide receivers. He displays good accuracy and can make all the throws needed to run the offense. Wisdom has already earned a scholarship offer from Central Florida and he will be a fun player to watch in this tournament.

The Van Buren Pointers have a bright future and the potential to have an impressive season. [player_tooltip player_id="155329" first="Bryce" last="Perkins"] will be a player to keep an eye on in the Southwest Elite Tournament. Perkins is an accurate quarterback, and he can throw with touch or burn the ball in there when needed. Perkins does a good job of moving around in the pocket enough to make the throw. He is a player that has good timing with his wide receivers, and he will open some eyes in the tournament this week.

The Fayetteville Bulldogs are fresh off a 7-on-7 tournament win in Alma a few weeks ago. Fike is a quarterback that has flown under the radar but can make all of the throws that are ask of him. He throws an extremely accurate ball and can throw any of his receivers open. Fike is a player to watch in this tournament. He has been on a roll over the past few weeks and performing well in the Southwest Elite tournament has the potential to set the stage for a big 2021 season.

Nimrod is a wide receiver that has caught the eyes of college scouts this summer. He is a big play threat from anywhere on the field. Nimrod uses his athletic ability well to haul in tough receptions and make life difficult for the opposing defensive back. The Bentonville wide receiver is a consistent red zone target, and he will be an impressive player to watch in the tournament this week. Nimrod has the ability to steal the show in the Southwest Elite tournament.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122981" first="Eli" last="Masingale"]-Running Back-Ozark-2023</strong>
Masingale is one of the sleepers going into the 2021 season. However, the ceiling this young man has is extremely high. Masingale is a dangerous running back catching the ball out of the backfield. He has the skill set to cause opposing defenses plenty of problems. Masingale’s speed and ability to make opponents miss is going to serve him well in the Southwest Elite tournament. Look for Masingale and Ozark to surprise some people this week.
The Southwest Elite 7-on-7 tournament will be held at Fayetteville and Shiloh Christian on Wednesday and Thursday. Plenty of talent and teams to examine this week and Prep RedZone Arkansas will be in attendance!
