The South-Eastern part of Michigan has a handful of hidden gems that are worth looking into. We are doing just that and breaking down their recruiting situations.
[player_tooltip player_id="30166" first="Karriem" last="Sharrieff"] - Cass Technical - RB - 5’11" 195 lbs
Sharrieff is a very athletic back with the tools to be a starter at the next level. He’s well-built and is perfect for a zone scheme in college. He’s a 2-star recruit and his only offer is from Central Michigan. I think he has big-play ability and could make a huge impact at the next level.
[player_tooltip player_id="30164" first="Nate" last="Briggs"] - Cass Technical - CB - 5’8" 160 lbs
Briggs, the teammate of Sharrieff, is a scrappy CB who plays very physical and likes to lean into the opponents. He’s pretty small right now but in the right program could bulk up. He’s a 2-star recruit and has offers from Central Michigan and Southern Miss.
[player_tooltip player_id="80529" first="Asher" last="Gregory"] - East Lansing - RB - 5’7" 180 lbs
Gregory doesn’t have a big frame on paper but in person, he’s actually really well-built. According to some recent Instagram posts, it looks like he’s been putting the work in. He’s a very naturally gifted player and excels in the passing game. He’s great in space and makes a lot of guys miss. The 2-star recruit has offers from Findlay and Davenport. He’s a D-2 star and a D-1 role player with stud potential.
[player_tooltip player_id="80491" first="Jason" last="Hardy"] - Loyola - CB - 6’2" 180 lbs
Hardy looks very thin. He is 6’2" and only 180 so of course, he’s going to look thin but he could really use some good weight training. He’s obviously very long but he plays like it as well. He uses his length to make plays in the PBU department. He’s got a 2-star grade and offers from Fairmont State and Northwood.
[player_tooltip player_id="80495" first="Breon" last="Key"] - Harper Woods - IOL - 6’4" 290 lbs
Key is the perfect prospect for any OL coach with an imagination. He has the size to play Tackle at the college level but also the mobility and flexibility to play Guard. He’s currently a 2-star recruit with offers from Fairmont State, Grand Valley, and so on. Key is someone with a ton of potential and I would like to see him land in the right program and build himself up. He’s got some serious potential and hopefully, he gets the most out of his career.
