Nelson recently committed to South Carolina. He’s a four-year starter at one of the top high school programs in the nation. Nelson has grown since his freshman season in both height and weight. There’s a big chance of him ending up at the safety position for the Gamecocks. He was the defensive back MVP at the All State Preps camp back in February of this year as he locked down some good wide receiver competition during 1v1’s. Nelson has a high football IQ, is technically sound, and is highly competitive.
No. 9 [player_tooltip player_id="64019" first="Tyreese" last="Fearbry"]/6-5/220/DE/Perry Traditional Academy
Penn State more or less stole Fearbry away from Pittsburgh. He entered the offseason as an under-the-radar prospect and fastly became one of the more sought after recruits in Pennsylvania. He has cat-like quickness, athleticism, and a frame that Penn State will work with in the weight room. His best is yet to come.
No. 14 [player_tooltip player_id="27593" first="Mario" last="Easterly"]/6-0/190/WR-DB/Bishop McDevitt
I’ve seen him in both game settings and camp settings over the past couple of years. He’s certainly capable of playing on both sides at the next level. However, I think his quickness and big-play capabilities on the offensive side of the ball are hard to ignore.
No. 26 [player_tooltip player_id="141220" first="Jack" last="Capaldi"]/6-2/205/QB/Malvern Prep
<img class="size-medium wp-image-110923 alignleft" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/02/jack-p-225x300.jpg" alt="" width="225" height="300" />Capaldi has gotten a lot of props on the camp circuit which included big-time recognition at the All State Preps QB Challenge in February (top performer) and The Elite 11 Regional in Philadelphia. His recruitment has been hindered by the fact that he only played a few games during his junior year. If Capaldi can take some of his offseason momentum and carry it into the season, he should be able to make some more noise in these rankings.
No. 30 [player_tooltip player_id="27669" first="Braelin" last="Moore"]/6-3/290/OL/Freedom
Moore put an end to his recruitment earlier this year with his commitment to Virginia Tech. Therefore, he really didn’t have to go on the camp circuit to prove anything. I saw enough during the All State Preps Camp back in February to let me know that he’s among the top offensive linemen in the state. His brother, Kaeden, plays at Virginia Tech. Braelin is not as outwardly demonstrative as his brother, but he’s just as aggressive and physical.
No. 33 [player_tooltip player_id="27615" first="J.R." last="Strauss"]/6-2/215/LB/Exeter
I’ve been able to evaluate Strauss a couple of times in person over the past few years. He committed to Villanova a whle back and to me, that’s a steal for the Wildcats. I think his athleticism is a little underrated but Villanova will be the perfect spot fo him to showcase his talent. Strauss is a true sideline-to-sideline backer and will a problem when it’s his time to blitz.
