One of the most underrated yet talented positions in the state of Arkansas is the linebacker position. Over the years, the state has started to produce more talented players at the linebacker spots, and this will be a fun group to watch this season. Today we are going to examine some linebackers that have the potential to have strong 2021 seasons.

The Arkansas commit has the potential to build off of an incredibly strong 2021 season. Henley is all over the field for the Saints and he is always around the football. Last season, Henley racked up 159 tackles and he is looking to build on that number this season. The Saints are always a difficult team to play, and this is an extremely talented group. Look for a strong season with a deep playoff run for both the Saints and [player_tooltip player_id="75093" first="Kaden" last="Henley"].
[player_tooltip player_id="75075" first="Kaiden" last="Turner"]-Fayetteville-2022
Turner uses his excellent speed to live in the opposing offensive backfield. The Fayetteville linebacker corps is a strong unit. Turner does well in pass coverage, and he is disruptive in both the running and passing games. Turner has committed to play football for the Indiana Hoosier; however, the work is not done for this season, and I would look for a strong season from both Turner and Fayetteville.
[player_tooltip player_id="137076" first="Jace" last="Benesch"]-Hoxie-2022
Benesch is a linebacker that does a great job of making life extremely difficult for opposing offensive linemen. Benesch is another linebacker that does an impressive job of getting into the offensive backfield and disrupting the opponent’s rushing attack. Benesch is another player that will play at the next level for Central Arkansas. Benesch is a linebacker that has the talent to drop back into pass coverage and take an interception the other direction. The 2021 season should be a good one for the Hoxie linebacker.
Quincey Rhodes Jr.-Jacksonville-2023
Rhodes Jr. has excellent speed. He is a linebacker that can disrupt an opponent’s rushing game. However, he can be a nightmare for opposing linemen when it comes to how good of a pass rusher he is. Rhodes Jr. has put in the work this summer to become on of the best linebackers in the state of Arkansas by the time the season is over. The ceiling is extremely high for Rhodes Jr. and he is just starting to reach. Look for Rhodes Jr. to have a strong season and start to earn some division one offers in the process.
[player_tooltip player_id="138880" first="Caden" last="Mimms"]-Cabot-2023
Mimms has that mix of power and speed that coaches and scouts are always on the lookout. He does a great job of stepping in to fill the gaps and disrupt the rushing attack of the opposing offense. Mimms is particularly impressive when it comes to defeating blocks and putting pressure on the opposing quarterback. With the mix of power and speed that Mimms possess the 2021 season could be a special one for the Cabot Panther. Look for Mimms to continue to impress coaches and scouts as the 2021 season gets rolling.
