Continue ReadingNearly 50 of Nebraska’s (and Lewis – Central, Iowa’s) brightest stars attended the Future50 Media day presented by Stephen Warren and our good friends over at Warren Academy. Players that attended were able to have professional pictures taken, interact with other top players in the state, and talked shop with several coaches. One of the main events was the information session regarding the new Name Image Likeness (NIL) rules that have been implemented by the NCAA. This provided a great way for players to learn the intricacies of NIL, creating a brand for themselves, and locking down endorsements.
After the NIL informational, players were able to talk to various media outlets and answer interview questions…. say less! Although, we weren’t able to talk to everyone we did manage to track down some players. During the interviews, we found out how players kept busy over the summer, what they would like to improve, and several other questions.
Here is who we talked to:
Koa (QB/S/ATH) & Kade (WR) McIntyre:
The first interview of the day was with the dynamic brothers from Archbishop – Bergan. Koa explained his decision for choosing Wyoming, citing the fact that “their coaches checked all the boxes,” and their strong belief in his potential to be playing on Sundays eventually. Kade, a 2023 WR to watch, also shared about his recruitment process; drawing interest from Nebraska, Wyoming, and North Dakota. When asked about how they like playing together, they said that they enjoyed competing with one another and challenging each other at perfecting their craft and of course, connecting on touchdowns. Nonetheless, it seems like the brotherly love doesn’t translate to the field on Madden.

The Brothers McIntyre (@KoaMcintyre & @Kade_McIntyre) traveled down to Atlanta for the @RivalsCamp. Mother Nature didn’t quite cooperate but both were chosen for the invite only portion tomorrow! (200 of the 2000 athletes)#nebpreps #KnightPride #RivalsCamp pic.twitter.com/PxFGTO56SV

Noah Walters Noah Walters 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB Lincoln East | 2022 State NE (QB) Lincoln East
Noah has been a player that I have been buying a lot of stock in. One of the things that really stuck out was his confidence level. He discussed his trip to the Elite 11 camp in Pennsylvania, in which he placed in the top 10, in which he was glad to see himself hold his own against some of the other top national recruits. We talked about what he would like to improve on, to which he listed his timing and anticipation on throws and how he has worked with his receivers to get their chemistry down. Noah is definitely not at a loss for confidence, when asked to tell me why “I needed him on my team,” he listed that at the top along with a strong work ethic, talent, and willingness to improve. After our interview, all I could think was SOMEBODY OFFER THIS MAN!
Talented passer @noah_walters12 is one the best QBs in the area and has picked up interest from several #D1 programs. #WAFuture50 powered by @soldier_sports and @MakovickaPT #nebpreps pic.twitter.com/OxzQ724QHx

Good stuff from Lincoln East's Noah Walters (@noah_walters12), one of the top in-state QBs, last night at FNL.
He had a strong hat game (Elite 11) while showing off his accuracy. #nebpreps pic.twitter.com/rfxqp4eZGe

Luke Lindenmeyer Luke Lindenmeyer 6'4" | 240 lbs | TE Papillion - La Vista | 2022 State NE (TE), Will Hubert Will Hubert 6'4" | 235 lbs | DL Papillion-La Vista | 2022 State NE (DE), & Tyson Money Tyson Money 5'10" | 195 lbs | WR Papillion-La Vista | 2022 State NE (WR) – Papillion – La Vista
Three out of the many studs on a Papillion – La Vista team with tons of potential. The three Monarchs have all been keeping busy this summer with many camps, college visits, and personal/team workouts. Will, who had a 20 sack 42 TFL season, expects his offseason grind to pay off and help him improve his game as a pass-rusher. With one year of defensive lineman experience, it is scary to think about what he can do after improving. Tyson and Luke have also been sharpening their pass-catching skills, with them crediting their workouts with Yano Jones as a major contributor to improving their game. When I asked the trio what their team goals are; the answer was clear, cut, and concise… State Championship.

Dae’ Vonn Hall (WR) – Bellevue West
The exciting young receiver gave me some insight into his busy summer so far and the state of his recruitment. He’s began to receive Power 5 offers from Kansas State, Nebraska, and Iowa and has begun to visit schools and participate in university camps. Certainly, sitting behind a line of great Bell West receivers has helped him soak up all kinds of advice on leadership, recruitment, and tips on being a better player. Hall also elaborated on his budding QB-WR relationship with teammate Daniel Kaelin Daniel Kaelin 6'3" | 195 lbs | QB Bellevue West | 2024 State NE . Saying that the two often workout together to in order to build their chemistry. Despite Hall’s humble and soft-spoken demeanor, he did make the projection of him and Kaeling being the top duo by the time they were seniors, and I 100% expect him to deliver on that.

Gage Stenger Gage Stenger 6'2" | 190 lbs | ATH Millard South | 2022 State NE (LB/QB/ATH) – Millard South
One of the most versatile athletes in this recruiting class is the do-it-all playmaker Gage Stenger Gage Stenger 6'2" | 190 lbs | ATH Millard South | 2022 State NE from Millard South. Stenger shared his decision to commit to Kansas State. Stating that their strong family-like atmosphere was one of the main attractions. Stenger is an athlete that can be put anywhere and succeed. He began to dabble as the signal-caller towards the end of the 2020 season. this year he will be assuming full-time starting duties at Quarterback. Stenger seemed excited to Even with all of his proven talent and athleticism, Stenger still finds aspects of his game that he still wants to improve on. Among them include bulking up, maintaining his game speed, and polishing tackling techniques. A truly great athlete and great kid as well, Kansas State is getting one tough player.
