When it comes to the offensive line in the state of Florida, there are some impressive and very talented standouts, but they have not been a recruiting priority to all.
That may be changing, and as we have said in the past, more interest is being paid to the position than ever before.
With camps, clinics and showcases statewide - offensive linemen are now being developed with Power 5 and high-level college in mind. You can see the finished product – not only in the state, but at so many other programs across the country where these impressive “big men” are making a major impact.
Today, we check out some Class of 2023 offensive line prospects who are stepping to the head of the class.
[player_tooltip player_id="128552" first="Caleb" last="Akers"] (6-3, 250, Navarre). What's not to like about this impressive big man who continues to grow and mature – and his passion and skill for the game shines through, playing center or guard. Has been learning and working on his technique and strength. If he makes that total commitment, this is certainly someone who will play this game beyond high school. Remember, he is just a junior!

[player_tooltip player_id="128556" first="Devonne" last="Barry"] (6-3, 260, Tarpon Springs East Lake). Whether it's guard or tackle, this is someone who is certainly up for any challenge. When you watch him perform, you see someone who gets after it – from start to finish. As he gets stronger and learns more about the line, this is going to be an elite player. He is not afraid to get into the weight room, and as you watch him play, you can see that right away. This has long been a program that churns out some quality big men.

[player_tooltip player_id="128561" first="Jadon" last="Brown"] (6-3, 315, Plantation American Heritage). As they say: “the rich get richer” – especially with this impressive talent who is strong, physical and continues to learn about the position. With the kind of program the Patriots have, grooming prospects like this is part of the process that has made the defending 5A state champions special and one of the best in the country. Brown just needs game reps and solid practices to make his way and get plenty of attention in this competitive recruiting process.

[player_tooltip player_id="128567" first="Josiah" last="Chenault"] (6-3, 310, Sanford Seminole). Being part of the defending 8A state champions is always impressive, but working harder to stay there is the toughest part of the entire process. What you have in this quality athlete is a strong, skilled and emerging talent, who is definitely ready to put in the work. He has quick feet and overwhelms defensive players who are nowhere what he is. Will emerge as a talent to keep an eye on. He can lineup at any position on the line, and his strong and agile enough to play nose tackle – if he had to.

[player_tooltip player_id="128628" first="James" last="Zebroski"] (6-5, 295, Jacksonville Bolles). Having watched this young man up close and in person, you can guarantee that he is going to be one of the premier big men in the country over the next year. His size, athletic ability and footwork is something that a player with his size should never have, but he does. This is truly one of those up-and-coming special football players that this program will need to make a return trip to the state finals.
