Today we highlight the Wide Receivers of the class of 2022 in the state of Illinois that have been helping their stock throughout the month of June. They have been showing up and showing out! Many of the PrepRedzone top prospects are already reaping the rewards and earning offers from universities at each level. Be sure to follow and reach out to @_D3BO for anything Illinois High School Football recruiting or news-related. Follow @PrepRedzoneIL, and @PrepRedzone as well to stay up to date on rankings and news as well on Illinois high school football players.   [player_tooltip player_id="155228" first="Brandon" last="Bell"] Jr: Wheaton Warrenville South HS- 6’0 165 lb Brandon is a receiver that has begun to burst on the scene this year. He started by having a great spring and has continued getting better in the month of June. Brandon has a great feel of tracking the football, bringing in catches from different angles. His greatest attribute is his run after the catch ability. He makes players miss left and right. With back-to-back solid performances at the North Dakota and South Dakota University camps, Brandon has been a stand-out this June.   Quentrell “Trell” Harris: Nazareth Academy- 6’1 185 lb Nazareth Academy’s [player_tooltip player_id="20882" first="Quentrell" last="Harris"] has had a great June. He’s a true athlete who plays both sides of the ball. As a receiver, he plays physically and is very abrupt at the top of his routes. With his strong performances this June, Quentrell has started collecting division one offers.   [player_tooltip player_id="120244" first="Santiago" last="Rios"]: Harold L. Richards HS- 6’2” Santiago has participated in a camp both in the state of Illinois and Indiana this month of June. I can say that I really like his game. Although he is over 6 feet tall, he has great body control and even better hands. Santiago has a natural instinct to level his body with the ball, and letting the ball be caught away from his body. The prospect out of Richards high school is a solid player and looking to get better.   [player_tooltip player_id="165458" first="Trey" last="Johnson"]: Lincoln Way East HS- 6’1" 180 lb [player_tooltip player_id="165458" first="Trey" last="Johnson"] is a versatile player that I have evaluated a lot. He’s a weapon that has played every offensive skill position in his time at Lincoln-Way East. This June, he has put his stamp on the ability to play receiver at a high level. Competing at multiple camps this June, Trey has illustrated his ability to run the entire route tree. His ability to glide in and out of routes with soft hands has had a positive and glaring impact on him this summer.   Myles Walton: Homewood-Flossmoor HS- 5’7” 165 lb Myles Walton has spent June routing up defenders. He includes the word “twitch” in his Twitter name, and it’s the perfect way to describe his routes. He is a twitchy player that can transition in and out routes at a high level. With strong performances at the NCC and NIU camp, the HF Viking has stood out as a player who cannot be guarded in the slot.   [player_tooltip player_id="165456" first="Eddie" last="Kasper"]: Wheaton Academy-5’10” 155 lb [player_tooltip player_id="165456" first="Eddie" last="Kasper"] is a player that I continue to see other players retweet about. The content has been about how well he has been performing at camps this summer. Naturally, I took a look, and he did not disappoint. In the month of June, the receiver out of Wheaton academy has shown to be one of the better route runners in Illinois. With his low center of gravity, and his ability to attack defenders' leverage, his route running technique is well above the high school level.   [player_tooltip player_id="110715" first="Jacob" last="Bostick"]: Palatine HS-6’3” 170 lb [player_tooltip player_id="110715" first="Jacob" last="Bostick"] is a taller receiver at 6 foot 3 inches who had a phenomenal spring season. He executed sharp routes with a special burst out of his cuts. He has stood out in June from the power 5 visits that he has gone on. Traveling to schools such as the University of Cincinnati, University of Iowa, etc. has now started the engine of recognition for this 3-star recruit this month.   [player_tooltip player_id="65846" first="Jalen" last="Johnson"]: Matea Valley HS-6’3” 190 lb The dual-sport athlete has been a blazer on the track and on the football field. [player_tooltip player_id="65846" first="Jalen" last="Johnson"] is a big-bodied receiver at 6 foot 3 inches, 190 pounds. His acceleration off the line and soft hands when high pointing the ball was on display at the Northern Illinois football camp. Matea Valley has a pass catcher that is going to make a difference this fall.   Ej Nwagwu: St. Rita-6’0” 160 lb Ej is a player that has been under the radar. St. Rita is a team loaded with talent, and he was still working on himself in the complicated COVID-19 year. This summer, the 200-meter track star has begun to evolve into a slot receiver that can separate from defenders. Look for Ej to have big nights on Friday this fall.   [player_tooltip player_id="131425" first="Jack" last="Tremblay"]: Lincoln Way East HS-6’0” 190 lb [player_tooltip player_id="131425" first="Jack" last="Tremblay"] is a player who has been no secret at all this summer. He has attended the Vanderbilt, North Central, Ball State, and Bowling State University camps. It is fair to say that he continues to improve no matter the level of competition that lines up across from him. Doing well in one on ones, and consistently running a top 5 40-yard dash among all camp participants, he’s a player that has definitely stood out in June. FCS and FBS offers are sure to make their way to Jack.   [player_tooltip player_id="155223" first="Archie" last="Cox"]: Fremd HS-6’0’ 180 lb Coming from the southwest suburbs, I haven’t heard of Fremd Highschool. With how Archie has performed in June, I will have the school on my radar this fall. [player_tooltip player_id="155223" first="Archie" last="Cox"] is a quick receiver who understands what routes he’s running. This month at the NDSU, NCC, and Harvard camp, Archie had strong performances running smooth routes. The different ways that he can run the comeback routes have put him on notice.
